Hi JG. I just wanted to back up Bethany. I was not as fast as she was on our last group ride. She kindly let me draft off her as long as I felt like it. My usual speed on flat trails is 16-17 mph. BUT, I'm recovering from bronchitis and am not so good on hills so I probably won't be as fast as Bethany. Not to mention I'm trying to keep my heart rate in a more aerobic zone so I doubt I'll be tearing up the road. Also, I don't know how far everyone else is planning to go (my planned long bike is 80 min), but you can always sit out a lap. Anyway, I'm glad you're coming out and don't worry about the speed or distance. Besides, it's great meeting fellow nuts! See you Saturday!

JG: Glad to hear you are coming. I was a little wary on my first ride with the group (since I'd only recently purchased my bianchi, and was not in my comfort zone with the bike yet), but every one is so great, I had a wonderful time. You'll love it.

I wanted to tell ya'll, I may not make it. I have amy transport but no bike transport. I think I've convinced my friend to come pick me up and ride with us but he's a bit flakey, so we'll see.

Hope to see you tomorrow

1 more day! Yippee!!! I had a nightmare about our ride tomorrow. I had a dream last night that I overslept and did show up. Isn't that terrible. I will set two alarm clocks tonight so that doesn't happen.

Okay. Roll Call:

Tplauche
jg2ga
Browe79
Chenryiv (Dave and his friend)
Aims (maybe, plus her friend)
Whit

That's an amazing group of 9! See you at 10 am tomorrow in the parking lot outside the park.

Great job: Crispin, Tom, Jeff, Whit, and Dave. Thanks for coming out!!! It was a good ride. Those hills do create a nice challege and a new max heart rate. We had a few problems today with chains falling off, one close crash (my fault), and then there was my little tip over.

Amy, we missed you! Karl, I hope you are having a good time with your family. We missed you too.

Peace out,
Bethany

Had a great ride guys!  I promise that next time I'll have my bike tuned better so that I can keep my chain on.  Of course, by next time I'll probably have my Christmas goodies and be adjusting to clipless pedals/shoes and be falling over the whole time.

Anyway, I had a fantastic time!

Special thanks to B for putting it all together.

A few times Saturday other regular rides came up in conversation. I went and found a link that I had seen some time ago that lists a number of regular rides here in the Atlanta area. here is the link. http://www.sadlebred.com/atlroadrides.html/>
I enjoyed the ride, thank you Bethany for putting it together.

The link didn't work when I checked my post but it did when I coppied it into my address bar.
