Comments: Long run to t1, over rough pavement Bike
Comments: I have not had the opportunity to ride much in the last 2-3 weeks due to travel, and it shows...could not hold a good pace on the bike, and it felt like the entire race passed me. What would you do differently?: Try not to fall so quickly out of cycling shape. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt like the legs had lots of energy, and felt fast...lower quads did begin to cramp at ~ 2m, but not too bad. Post race
Warm down: Ate some food, light stetching What limited your ability to perform faster: Being out of bike shape Event comments: Overall, a pretty decent race, and I appreciate that it is late in the season (most local races stop around mid-September). A few suggestions: a few porto-johns would help, especially since there were only two stalls available from the park brooms. Also, the post race food was weird; after a race I want bagels, peanut butter, bananas, etc, not chicken salad in mayo. My biggest gripe was the blatant drafting by a group of 4-5 women (and 2-3 men); this group passed me with about 2m to go on the bike and were CLEARLY working together.
