I've got a friend who's into tris and I'm going to be getting a new tri bike this winter/spring. But I gotta decide what kind of pedals to get for them. I wanna get the sprints (probably swayed by the cool looks) but my friend says that 105 feel better. I'm planning on trying them out for myself soon, but what do you all think of this?

Neither, Time RSX or RSX Carbon, or even the lower one:

After loads of research, I decided on Time.  I got the RXE version for $55 from ebay.

I was making the same debate and went with the Keo because they have more degrees of float than the Shimano pedals do.

I used to use Look pedals but I switched to Shimano, mostly because you can't walk on Look cleats. You have to use cleat covers. It was annoying as heck, because I'd always forget to take them off before I tried to clip in. Then I'd have to yank of the covers and stash them somewhere. Plus cleat covers get really dirty really quickly, and it's one more thing to remember. They're just a hassle all around.

Walking without covers was possible but they slipped on darn near anything. And even not walking, they were slippery - like on a wet road when you put your foot down to stop they could slide. I've also broken two of them while walking without covers.

I like the Shimanos because they have "walkable" cleats - no covers needed. And they're not slippery on wet roads.
