Apparently, Fat Loss Follies was a better name for the group than I thought it would be.  Once again, nothing good to report

Ending Week 8 Stats:
Starting Weight: 277, Week 7 Weight Loss: -2 Ending Weight: 279
Total weight lost so far: -2

Damn Halloween Candy.  This week has not been good.

Goals for Next Week: I'm changing this to Goals vs. weight loss cause I need to do something else somewhere.
(1) Put DOWN the chocolate.
(2) Get back on my workout plan and follow it!
(3) Sign up for a race - this one is key - when I have a race I'm much more focused on my workouts.

Measurements:
Yeah, yeah, I'll get around to it. It's more like I don't want to know.

Training Minutes:
Swim: 0
Bike: 0
Run: 0

A big fat 0 this week.

Workout Challenge

Week 8 Challenge Report:  Well, I didn't even get myself out there this week, let alone anyone else.

Week 9 Challenge:  Do some sort of plyometrics this week.  Add in some jumping jacks, skipping rope etc.  This kind of stuff is really supposed to help your "explosive" power base.

WEEK 8 TRIVIA!

What was the last major sporting event you watched?
The Olympics.  Before that it was the Tour de France.  Yep, I like sports, just not the ones that are normally televised!

Favorite scenery?
I love looking at the moutains in winter.  There's just something about snow-covered peaks.  I like the mountains in the summer too, but for my best viewing pleasure, give me a mountain and cover it in snow.  Runner-up - the ocean especially on days where the sun is just right and the water has that bluish-green look to it and the waves are crashing.

Least favorite scenery?
I know this is probably unfair, but the state of Nevada.  The monotony of the plains of sagebrush is just too much.  I just think that Nevada is boring to look at.  Of course, part of that is probably cause I have to drive across it to visit my family in Utah.

Favorite part of working out?
It has to be that post-workout feeling of being a little tired and my muscles feeling loose and limber.  The blood is moving and I just feel great afterwards.  Also, the feeling that I've just done something really good for myself.

Ending Week 8 Stats:
Starting Weight: 156, Week 7 Weight Loss: -0.5 Ending Weight: 156.5
Total weight lost so far: -0.5

I did pretty well with eating this week, but had a lot of salt yesterday, so I'm pretty sure that explains the +0.5 today. I'm going to slam more water than normal today and weigh again tomorrow.

Goals for Next Week:
(1) Lose a pound
(2) Crank up the resistance on the bike trainer.

Measurements:
Someday. I did do the bodyfat scale today though, and although 28.8% is still much higher than I'd like, it's a couple % lower than it was two months ago.

Training Minutes:
Swim: 0
Bike: 1 hr, 16 mins
Run: 34 mins
Walk: 45 mins
Strength: 20 mins

Too many rest days this week!

Workout Challenge

Week 8 Challenge Report: I invited my sister to masters swim with me, but she declined.

Week 9 Challenge: Do some sort of plyometrics this week.

WEEK 8 TRIVIA!

What was the last major sporting event you watched?
Well, I watch football every Sunday (Go Packers!), but that may not be "major." I watch a good share of the World Series, which probably counts. I also attended my daughter's end of season swim invitational, which was pretty major for those middle school girls!

Favorite scenery?
A vast countryside of trees in full fall color. Love it.

Least favorite scenery?
Hmmm...I guess driving down interstate 35 south through Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, etc. on the way to Dallas, TX from MN. This was a good ten years ago now, but I remember vast stretches of blazing hot nothingness. I'm sure it didn't help that we didn't have air conditioning and it was August.

Favorite part of working out?
Agreed--the feeling that I've just done something really good for myself.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Gatsby,
Great to see another vikings fan here. Heartbreaking loss against Indy last night, though.

Good luck with your training!
