Sort of.

I went through college under an Army ROTC scholarship. As part of that, I got to lead a platoon of 10th MP company, 10th Mtn Division at Ft. Drum for a month. Spent a couple months training at Ft. Lewis as well. The Army and I had different plans, so I did not get comissioned and thus ended my Military experiences. That's something I have mixed feelings on today. :
My younger brother is with the 101st down in Ft. Campbell. He returned in Feb from a year in Iraq.

Hoo-ah!

Hey Chris:

Does your brother know the air assault course instructor (Cpl. Roger "Buddy" Butler) at Ft. Cambell who's getting married on the Today show?

Just wondering...

Steve,

Probably not. He's in 8-101, DISCOM. Keeps the birds in the air.

Though he is starting Air Assault school on Monday, as he made Company and Battalion Soldier of Month, but needs to be AA qualified for Brigade SOM Board.

I'm not, but my cousin was.  Lt.Col. Kip P. Taylor, USArmy, we lost him in the pentagon attack, so needless to say I am more patriotic than ever and have a special place in my heart for all you who  currently serve and those who have served in the past.  I sincerely thank you.

This post is GREAT!

Thanks to all military out there (prior and active) for your post and keep them coming.

Perhaps Ron could make some kind of enhancement like the gold/silver/bronze icon that denotes BT members who served or are serving their country and allow us BTers to do what we do...triathlons? What do you guys think about that?

If you think it would turn non-military BT folk off, then I say we don't do it, but if not, it sure would be nice to know/meet fellow military personnel with the quick look to the left...especially in this time of conflict.

Maybe we have a small "yellow ribbon" icon for supporters of our troops and a small word saying "Army" "Navy" "Air Force" "Marines" ok ok ok and the "Coast Guard" next to our photos for those of us prior/active military folk.
