Okay, I volunteered to be our team captain, but we still need a team name.  How about a few suggestions?  Below is a list of those on our team.  When I get the spreadsheet with goals, I will post it and the fun will begin.

Hi everyone!

I'll have a team spreadsheet available for your team - hopefully sometime tonight.

That way, you'll be able to see what everyone's goals are, and you can chart your progress during the month.

If you don't remember your goals, you can see them here. (The last 10 or so people who entered aren't on there yet, but I'll update it tonight.)

Hi Team 3!
Should we do our little introduction bit? I don't know many of you, so I'm assuming you don't know me, either.
I'm Laura, and I'm pretty much a newbie. I have one mini and one sprint tri under my belt. Right now I'm training for my first marathon (Disney) this January, so I've been concentrating on running a lot. The October challenge really helped me improve, so I'm excited about the November challenge. I think I said I'd do 120 miles running and 12 hours of yoga.
As far as team names....um. I am so not creative. But I like to give inspires and be chatty on the team thread, so I'm looking forward to being a part of the incredible Team #3!!! (Wow, we really need a name.)

I suppose I should have introduced myself first.  My name is Ryan and I am a high school science teacher.  I have completed several triathlons from sprints to an Ironman.  After my daughter was born last April, I didn’t race or train much so this challenge is to get me back on track.  I am training for IMMOO so I need to get back in gear.  I can’t wait to get to know some of you and have some accountability in my training.

My Goals

Run 8 hours, Bike 8 hours, Swim 8 hours, and lose 10lbs (I am a clyde @ 230).

Thanks for volunteering to be team captain!

As for introductions...I'm Kendra and I've been doing this for about a year.  I've come to love these challenges almost as much as races.

This month, I have set a goal of 6 hrs biking, 6 hrs running, and 4 hrs swimming.  I am attempting to balance my training between the three disciplines.

And until the snow starts to fall on the slopes, I'll keep training.

240 min weights
35 miles run
8000 yds swim

Hm... a name.... inspiring... catchy...

Hm. That didn't work with my team. Someone suggested a random name, and we went with it.

Of course, we're all too busy talking to worry about our name. We've even incorporated "being chatty" into a Team Goal for the month.

I'm not opposed to team Random.  Becuase the only other suggestions I have would be to maybe do something Thanksgiving or Fall related...

Hey!  I am Bryan.  I am relatively new and only have two sprints under my belt.  I started to do Triathlons becuase of a challenge a friend put out there.

I am forgetting my goals right now, but it will be a lot of running and biking as I have no pool to train in.  I am training for an Olympic distance next year, but I want to go for longer distances.

I also need to lose about 15lbs @215 now.

I am trying to meet some more people on the site so I thought this would be fun and keep me motivated.

 Team name..........ummmm......no.

Hi Team 3!!

I'm Jen.  I'm working on getting back into running after recovering from a stress fracture over the summer.  I'm training for the Shamrock 1/2 marathon.  Running is going to be my focus over the winter (will do some biking as cross-training, too).

My goals for the month are:
Run 45 miles
Strength/flexibility: 10 times
Lose 5 pounds (down to 170 by end of month)

I'm okay with team random.  I used a random word generator and it gave me "terror".  Maybe we should be the Random Terrors?

Hello everyone, Nick here. Addysdaddy, I am assuming Addy is your little girl in your avatar, I also happen to have a 10 month old named Addyson. I've also got another little one in the oven, so I am trying to balance work, home and family, and training (aren't most triathletes ). I've done one triathlon in 2004, but almost immediately afterward got very out of shape. About 4 years ago I wrote down on a piece of paper that I wanted to finish an Ironman before I die. For some reason that act of writing down the goal has stuck with me, and I've always felt accountable for it. So this summer seeing how unhealthy I had become I got back on the bike in august, and signed up for IMKY at the end of the month. I did a duathlon a few weeks ago and got killed on the second run, so most of the winter will be focused on running so that is my main November goal. I "goofed up" today though and hit my goal of running my 10k route in 47 minutes, so I need to adjust my goal to something I will have a hard time hitting by the end of the month (I didn't think I would hit the previous one, so I am going to make it kind of hard for me).

My adjusted run goal is 43:24 for my 10k route (7 minute miles).

I would like to add before the clock strikes 12 and November starts a swim goal of under 1hr for the IM distance swim. I am about 2 1/2 minutes off that right now.

I look forward to sharing this with everyone, and hopefully helping you guys reach your goals.

I'd like to start by thanking team member lisazapato who left me what is my first inspire comment since joining BT. It was really nice to log in to put my workout in today and be surprised!

Hi Team!!

I'm Sharon (aka "E" and I just came off of a disappointing tri season.  I have swim issues but we're going to tackle those in December.

My November goals are 8 hrs. bike, 8 hrs. run and 6 hrs. weight training.  Oh, and I'm also in a weight loss challenge.  I need to lose 5 lbs. by the end of November.

I have no suggestions for a team name.  I lose creativity the longer I'm at work...

Hi guys!!  I am happy to be on the Turkey Terror team!  I'm Lisa, and I've been on BT since spring of '05.  I have done 4 sprint tris and 2 half marathons, but I really didn't do anything this past year partly because I got hitched in June.  In all this time on BT, I really have not improved in any way on anything, because I never really had a plan or was committed - but I am hoping to change that!  This challenge will be the most I have ever run in a month, just like my October Run Challenge mileage was the most I had ever run in a month.  Basically, I am trying to be consistent, and hopefully the speed will come with consistency.

My goals are to run 55 miles this month, and to bike twice.

Let's have a great month!  Gobble Gobble!

Hellloooooo!!!

Okay here are my plans.

Week 1 (this week) - 70 minutes includes today and a duo on Sat (10k run portion)
Week 2 (next week) - 110 minutes recovery week
Week 3 - 140 minutes
Week 4 - 160 minutes
Week 5 - 100 minutes taper week for 10mile trail race on Dec 1.

In total - 580 minutes (should total about 60 miles, but time is more important than distance for me)

A little about me. This was supposed to be my second full year of tri-ing including a July 1st HIM. Most of 2007 season was ruined because a severe ankle injury in March, and a relocation of me and my family in Sept and Oct. As I mentioned, I have 2 races in the next 5 weeks which I am really nervous about. I participated in the Oct Run Challenge (Go Team Black Magic) and posted my highest monthly run total EVER (8.5 hours, 52 miles). I am currently seeking employment in the Richmond VA area (anyone know anyone?) in the HR field. I enjoy trash talking and I will start harassing the other teams IMMEDIATELY. Good luck with all of our goals and good luck team!!
