Yep a very big mountain with one climb lasting for 21km and climbing to about 1300m

here's the profile ... altitude is in metres

IMAZ for me next year. Right now I'm hovering around 220lbs, where I was at IM CDA in '06. I'm shooting for 205-210 though.

I'm also toying with the idea of Vineman as a 2nd IM in '08. If some friends and I can swing the group discount I think we'll go.

IMCdA, June 2008

- 217 now, plan to be 160 (goal weight forever) at race time.

Started tri'ing in 04 at 260.

Go team. All I want for my 36th birthday next year is an IM finisher's metal and an M-dot tatoo.

Strangely enough, that's what I'm getting for my 35th birthday.

IMFL is on my birthday next year so I figured I couldn't say 'No'.

I'll be doing IMCDA next year.  Just finished IMFL at 208 lbs and will likely be around the same, maybe a little less, for IMCDA.  I don't anticipate going under 200 though.  Haven't seen that since 9th grade!

I found this recipe online....I cook this stuff in my garage and when I take it, it keeps me up for several days..Do you know how far you can run in a few days?. ... Just kidding... lol

Getting my eating under control (portions, what and when I was eating), BEFORE I started ramping up my workouts again. In the past...I would only have one piece of the puzzle at a time....Once I got them in sync....got in a routine...things started happening. Oh.. and soaking the knowledge on this board.

-------------------Now back to the regularly scheduled thread...... IM 2008

I am in for IM Wisconsin in 2008.

I was 217 pounds when I decided to do it in July.

I was around 210 in September when I paid for it.

I was 186.5 this morning.

Hopefully I'll be about 180 when I hit the beach for the race.

Fear is a good motivational tool.

And I would like to thank everyone in this forum for the motivation as well. I didn't post much about my weight-loss goals, as I didn't want to jinx myself, but I read about everyone's trials and tribulations daily, and it has been a big help with the self-control in regards to diet and portions.

First half IM planned next season along with my first marathon.

I'm at 220#s and hoping to get down to 200 come June and maybe lose another 10-20 by July 09 and toe the IM line at 185ish...I know he is in here somewhere.

WOW!!!

As for me, not planning one in 2008, but if the rumors come to fruition, I may target an Iron Distance race in Colorado.

Outstanding goals for everyone.  I was originally planning on doing a full in 2008, but after my first half in september, I decided I wanted to get my half IM performance to near my time goal, so I am doing three of those in 2008.  I know that I will be doing two flat courses (White Lake and BTB) and either Steelman up in Benton Harbor Michigan or try to take some revenge at Duke for the third.

Definitely a full in 2009, unless I train my legs off in 2008.

My plan is to race the Devilman 1/2 in May and see what happens. If all goes well I will registering for Chespapeakeman when I get home from the race. Right now I am running 5x a week and lifting 2x, biking 2x (1 trainer ride, one longer ride on my track bike), and swimming 2-3x a week. I am starting to get my nutrition under control, down ten pounds in the last 3 weeks. I just need to pick out my training plan now, trying to decide between Opentri 36 week plan and Don Fink competitive program. Fink works nice, in that it would start as wrestling season ends, but I kind of like the volume in the 36 week plan.
