EBAY SCAM - Cervelo P3 Carbon complete bike

I have seen that cervelo deal up many times the past 2 weeks and ebay keeps yanking the auction. It is a scam....

I've watched many an E-Bay auction for these "great deals" on Tri Bikes. Usually someone has commandeered someone else's e-bay account and posts a fraudulent auction. I'm not sure what they gain from it but it happens all the time

The ad states Brooklyn, NY but he states he lives in Romania.

It looks like ebay pulled down the auction.

He sent me a long email about how honest he is - PLEASE. If anyone is in the mood for a good laugh send me a PM and I will forward you the email.

Tell him if he is honest you will set up an escrow account that the money will be delivered when the bike is.

somehow (probably my own stupidity) i got scammed about a year ago for $1000 trying to by an orbea ordu...

i caught the guy a couple of days later doing the same thing, and had him thinking i was going to give him more money (I sent from a different email address, his was still the same) i'm over it, i was stupid, but it's just frustrating when there is nothing you can do...like track where emails come from and call the police and they can pick this a-hole up. oh well it's all kharma i guess. what goes around comes around, he'll have it come around some time.

yeah and I thought that p3c was in my size too yet. atleast there was one in my size. I am glad I did not try it.

never mind there is a frame only in my size for price of a p2c frame. I think I rather have the p2c than a p3c frame

If you look carefully, you'll notice that many of these scam auctions are in the totally wrong category. I've seen bikes listed in cosmetics!

Please report these fraudulent auctions to Ebay if you see them!
