Well,

Colorado fans. It looks like 5430 Sports is taking over the Boulder Peak triathlon a popular Colorado race and are adding a Long category which I think its a 1/2IM. So they will do a sprint, Oly and 1/2IM which sounds fun and is sure to be comeptitive. They're creating a series for June, July and August. Woo Hoo. Details to come by Dec. 1.

Great - glad to hear it! I was kind of wondering if there would be any series next year...

Sounds good to me. I need to start training now. I went home for a week and gained 8 pounds. By scheduling some races now hopefully I can stay focused through the winter.

Do you mean they are adding a longer portion to the Peak?  The 5430 is a 1/2.

and O - the 5430 people do the Stroke and Strides - see you at one of those again?

No I don't think they're adding length to the Peak they're just taking it over and adding it to their long race.

Looks like they're starting to put the info out on their website (but still under construction) - www.5430sports.com

I'm totally going to do the sprint in June - I've been looking for a sprint distance in May or June that didn't reuqire a 2 hour drive!!

Phew! What a relief. I was gonna be a bit upset now that I finally bit the bullet and decided to get into this sport only to have the embezzler and the Larimer County issues ruin my first season!! Thanks for letting us know, Ovetta.

Yeah, I'll do the sprint in June, the Oly in July and we'll see about the 1/2IM in August. I don't think I'm quite ready for a 1/2IM yet. Will do the Rattlesnake in August (bummer they're just doing ONE race this year) and fill in the gaps with Stroke and Strides and an Oly in New Mexico (just 2 1/2 hours away) and Oly in Utah! (That's EIGHT FRIGGIN' HOURS.). I might have to throw in some 10K's next year just to keep my goal of doing a race a month. I'm rounding out the season by doing a elongated sprint in Mexico (Woo Hoo) in October. So looks like I'll be traveling next year.
