I can now jog on the treadmill. Yep, I did it last night. I walked for 5 mins, then alternated 1 min walk, 1 min jog for 10 mins, then switched to 2 min walk, 2 min jog. Total time was 35 mins. Yahooiiee!!! I plan on keeping this up for a week or so then adding more time rather than speed. I use the treadmill 2 or 3 x weekly. I am not able to jog outside yet.

Way to go!  I was where you are a few months ago.  You will be amazed at how quickly your body will "let" you jog more and walk less.   Keep up the good work.

Awesome job Debra! No need to ask to be excused - brag on! It's good for you to recognize your own accomplishments and feel good about them. No shame in that!

Keep up the good job and train strong!

Who was it that said "It ain't bragging if you can do it"?

Nice.

Celebrate.

Then get back to work. Time + incremental progress is the key to major gains.

Way to go...in no time you will be a full time runner and wondering how exactly it happened to you...

At least that's what I'm wondering now...

Good luck with your continued training.

Thanks everyone for your support.

I wanted to add that I do keep the treadmill at "random" so the incline adjusts every so often. Makes it tough when it goes way up. I am able to walk a brisk pace outside and usually walk about 3 to 4 miles with some inclines too. Can't wait to someday jog, then run outside.
