We're going to do it this Summer, maybe as many as 15 of us

6 days

I am getting stoked

We have our logistical meeting in a week

I have ridden lots of sections of it, up to about 50 miles at a pop, but doing the whole deal at 72 miles a day is going to be cool.

that's all

Cool enough!  I've done a 60 mile stretch of Skyline Drive on my bicycle.  A few years ago my wife and I took a motorcycle trip and did all of Skyline Drive and the BRP.  We took our time, lots of sightseeing, side trips to Luray Caverns, etc.,  and even on the motorcycle it took us 3 days.  Enjoy!

A friend of mine has done the whole thing over the years but never all at once. I was going to do it last year but could not get it organized in time. When you get the details together, PM me. I might join you. 72 miles a day will be no joke though!!!

Two of the folks who are organizing the ride have already done it once a couple of years ago. Both of them are pure cyclists and put in 4-6K miles a year.

We are planning for mid-July at this point going from North to South. I am going to have to get some serious saddle time in this Spring, but for me this dovetails nicely with my IM plan for November.

I cam shoot you a PM

spokes - 2007-11-29 3:06 PM Dave, that sounds like great fun! I loved riding on the Parkway near Charlottesville several years ago... it was fun!

It's going to be fun.....we'll be bringing a full bar

The really cool thing about the Parkway is that it does not have any really, really steep climbs (some long ones, but Thunder Ridge is the steepest bit and we'll hit that early on)
