Any one else feeling it harder to do crunches as PU's the deeper into the month we go?  I am doing a few more, but in smaller sets.

I'm up to 40 pu and 70 crunches.  The crunches are still finishable, but the pushups are hitting me by the third set.  I usually have to rest in the middle of the 3rd for a few seconds or soo.

Third week down on schedule.  Lesson learned:  Don't miss a day and have to make it up!!!  Those 300 crunches were rough!!

This has been a great help.  I think the increased core strength has helped with my running.  I feel more confident and think I can finish the Goofy without dying!

Is next Friday the official end of this challenge?

3rd week accomplished!

3 days -
 each doing 2 x 25 pushups and 2 x 25 crunches/situps

plus 1 day -
  2 x 30 pushups and 2 x 30 crunches/situps

Total - 150 pushups + 60 pushups = 210 pushups, 150 crunches/situps + 60 crunches/situps = 210 crunches/situps.

Total for 3 weeks:
 Week 1 - 160 each
 Week 2 - 180 each
 Week 3 - 210 each
160 + 180 + 210 = 550 pushups, and 550 crunches/situps.

With no more swimming for next week over the holidays, I'll attempt to double that total in the final week.

Also, I want to wish everybody -

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Hope everyone is having great fun with this.  I always enjoy it when I am done.

Hey Saling

It has been a while since I checked in. I am on track with my 10/100 per day. I missed one day with my cold, but I kept up the other days.

Thanks for stepping up as the leader!

Not much of a leader ABUD, but I appreciate the confidence.  Are you feeling like it is doing any good?  Have you tried bumping up your daily total by a few extra?

It is definately getting easier to do the 10/100. I have not tried to bump them. I have not been feeling well at all this week. Lucky to get them done at all. When I am doing them I think "maybe I should do more" then I don't. I have been keeping my arm and tummy muscles busy by eating. Oh wait, that is a different thread.

Was able to finish last week strong...this week however may be a different story. What with the holidays, mother-in-law in the hospitial and extra people sleeping in every freakin room in my house (except for the kitchen and bathrooms)...no I am not kidding...even the living room and den I was in the kitchen for about 4 hours Fri night and still needed to get in my last 2 sets for the day so I just dropped to the floor and was doing my crunches when my future Daughter-in-law walked in and said "WTH are you doing"...I replyed that I was training and that I was part of an on-line Challenge Group..She rolls her eyes and leaves. 10 minutes later she comes in and I am doing push-ups...she watches for about 5 seconds and calls out for my son and says, "you better come check on your Dad...I think he has gone crazy because someone on-line challenged him to do something nuts".

I am spending way more time cooking for folks than I am training.

120 p/u and 360 crunches for the week...still on target and getting a little easier than they were.

Thanks for all of the motivation from the group and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I decided that I'm not using holidays for an excuse!  My family has also rolled a few eyes at me, but I'm going to get this (and the rest of my training) done no matter what!

 Good luck to everyone!

Dropped one day last week, but looking to make it up today. I will finish this challenge on target!

This challenge is making a huge difference already. I can now push myself out of the (very) deep end of the pool, which might not sound like a lot but is saving a great deal of embarrassment...

Plus I'm starting to see my tummy muscles again (ok, so there's still a fair bit of post-baby jelly-belly to contend with, but my obliques are definitely more toned!)

I am glad I read your entire post...When you said **Dropped one last week** and I was looking at your avitar...well...

Congratulations on your progress...I am starting to see something that I think is stomach muscles but it has been so long I don't remember what they look like...and I don't have your very obvious excuse.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
