Thats what my wife and I were wondering if he just wounded him is that more appealing to the zombies? Its getting very interesting.

That was smart of him. Big guy wasn't going to make it anyway. Better to sacrifice one than both, plus Carl. The kid had to have the drugs or he would've died and Shane knew that.

Hello

I watched the new show last night after recording it on the TIVO.

1. Missing girl story line is old.  3 show is enough either find the girl or find her as a Zombie and make the mother shoot her.

2. Zombie hanging in the tree.  Good

3. RV parked in traffic jamb- old

4.  Nobody is doing it so lets turn it up a few notches and get some romance (S-X) going

5. When is the truth going to come out about best friend banging wife while they  thought you were dead?

6. Good twist shooting the fat guy.

7. When is the one handed bad guy brother going to show up again?

Just some thoughts

Kevin

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.  I'm actually kind of enjoying the lack romance drama and the focus on zombie apocalyptic chaos.

I agree, go watch some reality show if you want sexual drama.

Asians are very shy in sexual zombie situations. Thats a scentific fact.

Clarify please!  I just finished the first season on netflix, and was wondering where a cable-starved person like myself could catch up on this current season?

I thought the sex scene was written well and they didn't try to get all sexy either with the filming.

*** SPOILER ALERTS ***

.

Some random thoughts:

Well whomever it was that asked for some s*x in the show... there ya go!  But I thought it was a little lame.  "I get lonely too you know."  And then back at the farm as Maggie disses Glenn that it was a one-time thing and nothing will come of it?  I think they'll keep that sub-plot going and make the love-interest get more complicated.  When they leave does he stay?  Does she come with them?

For a moment, I thought there was something sinister going on between Maggie and her grandfather.  She told them to pull water from the well that had the walker in it.  Were they plotting something bad?  Of course Maggie turned out to be surprised that there was a walker in there (or was she)?  And who was the walker?  It would have been interesting if it were a relative living on the farm who got bit and they didn't have the heart to kill them.  But that's here and gone.

Sophia being lost is getting old and not going anywhere (literally).  Finish that sub-plot and move on.  You know she's alive and unbitten.  So just find her already.

Lori being pregnant?  Old news.  We all guessed that one.  Of course it's Shane's baby but that conflict between Shane and Rick isn't getting worse that would make it a "shoot out" issue.  Their relationship is getting stronger.  "You saved my son."  What's Rick to say to Shane and Lori, "we thought you were dead.  I tried to come back for you but the hospital was overrun.  We had to move on and survive."  And honestly wouldn't Rick think that if his wife were to "remarry" and his son to have a father, why not his best friend?  Someone he would want to take care of Lori and Carl?  I'm not so big on seeing where this is going.

Shane's guilt?  Good end to the last episode.  I think they'll drag it out more than it's worth.  Shane still loves and wants Lori and Carl and he did what he had to do to save himself and Carl.  A bad thing?  Of course.  But then in the Zombie apocolypse, we would all do bad things that we would regret later on.

Who I do find VERY interestign is Daryl Dixon!  From redneck, uneducated, mean, racist, SOB... developing into someone who truly CARES about others.  And the societal flip.  In our world, he's an outcast.  A loser.  Someone who doesn't have the skills and ability to "succeed".  In the post-apocolyptic-zombie world - he's at the top of the food chain!  His country, back-woods, survivalist skills make him the most valued member of all!  And I got maybe some hints of Carol Peltier falling a bit for him.  For all he's doing for her to find her daughter.  The Cheoroke Rose explanation was cool.  THAT would be an interesting love-interest.  Daryl willing to become a father - from outlaw to father.  I think I like the Daryl character the best.

I do want the writers to bring back Daryl's brother.  That's an obvious explosive and interesting sub-plot!

Final thought...  They can't stay at the farm.  Obviously.  They have to hit the road and keep moving so the story can keep moving.  Ultimately the big question is:  Is there a place that is zombie-free and humans have recreated a normal life, will they ever find it and get there to live in peace?

I agree but something will happen with the baby before they move on. Either she will stay for them to deliver the baby and move on or she will lose it somehow then move on. I doubt they will move on to give birth in the middle of the road with walkers around.

So your trying to say that a TV WRITER can't avoid writing a birth scene with walkers attacking as they desperately try to defend themselves while she's giving birth?  Dude - They can't avoid it!  You know as well as I do that's what's going to happen!  ... She gives birth and is lyign there holding her new baby...  The walker approaches...  She's totally helpless...  The walker is about to attack but hesitates for a moment upon seeing the baby...  Their eyes meet.  Does the walker have some cognitive reasoning left in them?  And then Rick... no Shane... no CARL lops the walker's head off and saves his mother.

You're trying to say that a writer is NOT going to go down that road?  Wanna bet?  Wink
