My tubular tires are starting to form a ridge, almost squared off. Should I have them replaced before Saturday? Is there enough time between now and then? Crazy that I just thought to look I know.

Thanks.  nother silly question....the clock at swim exit, does it show the 6:50 pro start time or the 7 am start time when we hit the beach on our first lap and as we finish?

Last year, it showed the pro time. I didn't realize it at first and was a little bummed as I thought I would swim faster. However, as I was running back into the water for my second lap, I heard the announcer saying that the first pro was finishing his swim at 44:?? and it dawned on me that the time clock was on the pro time. Talk about an instead boost, I was suddenly 10 min. faster. I didn't notice the time after the second lap or really anywhere else on the course until the finish line so I'm not sure when they adjust the clocks.

They don't adjust the clock at the finish line until about 9:30 on the pro clock so the clock is genreally off for the first few AG finishers.

Travel safe everyone!!! I hope you guys from the NE are doing OK and make it down safely.

We're heading out in the morning with three trick-or-treaters staying at Shores of Panama.  peewee, thanks for the tip on the dolphin swim.  Our youngest can't do the swim but they have another deal for the wee ones.

I'm currently planning on meeting you guys for the swim on Thursday morning.

Race day I'm sporting a red tri top and black shorts.  Black visor.  Or just look for the lazy slob crying about why I signed up for another one of these things at about mile 1 on the run.   #2266

Arrived in PCB this evening Was supposed to fly down this morning from Philly, but decided to cancel my flight and drive down w/ a friend and his family yesterday morning. Glad I made that move, since Sandy cancelled all flights out of Philly.

Anyone else staying at the Laketown Wharf? Planning to get in a swim tomorrow morning around 8AM across the street from the hotel and a quick ride or run after.

I made it.  Had to find a medical clinic in PCB for a sinus infection.  Found a good one if anybody should need one this week.

BT swim meet up at 8:00 on the boardwalk tomorrow.

In 2008 and 2010 the registration line on Wednesday was little to none at about 10:00 in the morning.  I heard there was a bit of a line first thing.

My name is Jasha, Bib number 3000 ( pretty cool because this is my 3rd IMFL )  I'll be wearing BT tri top.  probably dayglow green on the early part of the bike.

does anyone at Shores have a floor pump I can borrow for a few minutes tomorrow?

Is anyone interested in meeting for lunch tomorrow?

With tape, you don't need long time, so use it and replace. Even with a 2 days glue job it is ok for IM Florida, since there are no descents and fast turns. If you go with glue, I would stretch the tires wednesday morning (mounted on the rims unglued), then first layer of glue in rims and tires on wednesday afternoon, second layer on thursday morning (on rims) and mount, inflate, and ride on friday morning before bike check-in. With that will be ok

Leaving in the morning to head to FL.  Can't believe it's race week!  All these months and months of training/struggle/commitment.  LOVE the weather prediction!  Look forward to meeting you all at the swim on Friday!  Safe travels to my east coast athlete friends.  Let's try to settle the nerves and enjoy the finish to our journey.
