It's Monday.  I'm now 7 weeks out from first HIM.  It's kind of scary, but nothing compared to thinking about an IM.  Foot in mouth  My biggest week of training is this week, but my longest run in training is not till next week, and it's only two hours.  I'm still mostly worried about finishing a 13 mile run at the end of HIM.

I guess I just need to trust the plan.

I hear the Monday comment!!!  I often wonder about the 1/2 mary at the end, not because of the 13.1 miles, but more because I often wonder if I will have completed my nutrition on the bike correctly.

BUMP!!

How's everybody doing? I know a few of us have already done our early season races. I am now (GULP!!) 10 days away! I think I'm ready... now I just need to relax and try to embrace my taper - and resist the temptation to try to squeeze too much last-minute training into the next week and a half...

Good luck with the taper Jenny...ALWAYS the toughest part before a race for me.  When I was tapering for my last marathon, I had to fight the urge to go out and do long runs.

Just spend the time memorizing your nutrition strategy.   I think that's what I'm most nervous about...

Still 23 days away for me.  Enjoy the fact that you're done with your training cycle!

Race report up...good 1st experience...lots of learning...definitely did not get in the sufficient volume before the race, but I'm going after next year!

Few pics of the race:
