Team Javelin...Team Zoot/Gu...?? (Page 2)

I just got my acceptance email! WooHoo!

 I'm not sure what I'm going to do since there might be some conflicts w/ my Tri-Team sponsors, but I'll have to give that some extra thought.

 Has anyone seen what the tops/shorts are going to look like?!!?!

I haven't heard anything yet even though I was on the team last year.  Hopefully they are still sending out notifications.

If not, I still have 4 cases of GU left over so I should be set for the year either way.

Need to fill out the form and fax it in today.

From last year I still have a cannister and a half of Gu2O and two 48 packs of Gu.  I got the two 48 packs as my last points cash-in from IMFL, otherwise I was completely out of last year's supply.  The 2 cannisters of Gu2O I have left were also from points cashed in.  If they didn't offer the points last year I would have ran out of the initial stuff somewhere around September or so ....

As it is I know I will have to get some more Gu2O.  Two cannisters disappears pretty quick when you use it for all your training rides/runs and races!!

Congrats all fellow teammates!  I'm looking forward to another successful year with the team and proudly wearing my colors and supporting them!!

Crap ... no e-mail. 

It could be that I did not send any pics in from last year of me wearing my Team Gu jersey.  While I wore the shorts during the races (2XU shorts are the bomb), I did not wear the jersey because the @#$% thing chafed so badly and dealing with that over 70.3 + 140.6 mi respectively was just too much.  Would have worn it to other races but had a truncated season.

Oh well.

The big thing here is what the contract calls for.  I'm sure it says you have to wear the Zoot/Gu uniform, not only Zoot for all things (read: wetsuit).  In regards to other sponsors, you probably can't be sponsored by another Gel maker (Carb Boom, Hammer, etc). 

Read the contract and see what they REQUIRE, not what they infer.  Case in point, if it says you only HAVE to wear the hat, then you are free to put sponsor logo's on your uniform and race in that.  So it all depends on the language.

Anyone know if Zoot is offering the team members the 'pro deal' on their products?  I'm in the market for a new full wetsuit.  Hopefully it is a pro deal and I can order before IMAZ.

x2.  I wore the top for a couple of sprints, but dude...I'm 250lbs and the XL shorts they sent I cut and made into arm warmers.  For my HIM, I went with the Javelin suit as it was 9 kinds of comfortable for the long haul.
