Cow milk - I was unable to have dairy for a while and tried to switch tosoy.  I could never develop a taste for it.

Cow milk.  I don't like soy milk.  I drank rice milk when I was a vegetarian and that's better than soy, in my opinion.

i don't drink milk, but use it in cereal. i have to say i "tried" soy one time and that is all i use now! i love it. even just the original flavor-- is totally awesome in oatmeal and cereal. it's not bad priced at trader joes. i'm the only one in the house who uses it and i only use for breakfast, so it's not too bad. it also has helped me cut down on the artificial sweetners i use (splenda/equal).

oh, i tried it for the health benefits. i keep using it for both health and taste.

the chocalate is very delicious too!

Agreed. Chocolate soy milk is amazing. I drink that and have orange juice in my cereal so I have not had milk in a long time.

Soy milk for baking and on my cereal. Because I don't think humans should guzzle another animals breast milk for nutritional purposes.

organic cow.  LOve it, and the organic kind, skim, w/out hormones, is good for me.  Too much soy is NOT good for me or for anyone with any history of female cancers in their families.  Some doc will post in a minute to either explain that or refute it, but that's what my doc told me.

I don't drink milk, and I tend to avoid too much soy milk.  I do drink unsweetened rice and almond milk.  Very yummy!!!

I'm lactose intolerant...so soy for me.  But during my research into lactose intolerance once I found out that was my problem, I started to come around to Lisa's way of thinking.  Between the science, the stats, and my body's way of dealing with cow's milk....I was sold on soy being the way to go.

Soy for drinking and cereal. I will bake with regular milk. I just don't like cow milk. Never have. I think it's gross - unless it has chocolate in it. Which is bad for you So I drink light, unflavored (not vanilla) soymilk. I do not like soy yogurt, though.

Mmm. Cow milk. Although I do like soy milk. Actually, both mixed together is tasty. But cow milk wins my vote. I like the fact that it only has one ingredient. Plus, soybeans are more tasty than soy milk if I want something with soy.

Soy here,  I never liked "regular" milk either.  Also, by GI tract feels funky if I eat too much dairy.  My soy milk consumption is mainly in breakfast cereal, although on the rare occasion I eat a PB &J, there's nothing like a cold glass of milk (soy).

Soy Milk.......because I don't like puss and blood in my beverages.  Not to mention the soybeans aren't tortured for their nectar.

No, they're just killed and pulped for their juices.

Definately Soy Milk.  It is healther than cow milk and can change flavors when it gets boring.

How is it healthier? What do you mean by healthier?  (And my cow's milk becomes chocolate very easily, and sometimes I heat it up and add vanilla and almond extract and.. mmmm

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/05/040507083422.htm For the stuff that Hollis has mentioned.

As to the idea that we are not meant to consume cow's milk:

http://www.mothering.com/articles/growing_child/food/soy_story.html

From the Mothering article (which has full references in a link at the bottom): Soy did not become human food until late in the Chou Dynasty (1134-246 B.C.), when the Chinese developed a fermentation process to make soybean paste, best known today by its Japanese name, miso.

From http://archaeology.about.com/od/domestications/qt/cattle.htm: The taurine (humpless, B. taurus) was probably domesticated somewhere in the Fertile Crescent about 8,000 years ago. Taurine cattle were apparently traded across the planet, and appear in archaeological sites of northeastern Asia (China, Mongolia, Korea) about 5000 years ago.

We have been consuming cow's milk for a lot longer than we have been consuming soy (and that doesn't account for the fact that traditional, fermented soy products are much different than modern soy milk). I think it could be easily argued that we are not meant to consume either (and that is argued by proponents of the Paleo/Caveman Diet). However, I love me some cheese, so I eat it anyhow!

WHOLE cow's milk. I don't care for the 2% or 1% - I want the real deal with as much butter fat as is 'normal' for whole milk.

I tried soy milk but didn't like the taste much. I kept trying it, thinking I'd acquire the taste but it didn't happen.

FROSTY WHOLE MILK to eat with warm chocolate chip cookies. Or peanut butter cookies. Or in my cereal. I don't drink milk unless I'm washing down something else.

I can do whole milk in coffee, but Ice Cold Skim is yummy for drinking, cereal etc.  I think when I was a kid I drank whole, but I don't remember weaning myself...

I don't remember the last glass of milk I drank, but it is soy for cereal and other applciations - dashed into a breakfast smoothie.  Don't like the idea of dairy milk.  I do like good cheeses (not that "american cheez crap" but it makes me farty and constipated.    Husband is majorly lactose intollerent.  So we generally avoid dairy altogether.

Unscientific observation - months I consume more soy milk, my periods are lighter.

Cow milk because I am a man and Soy milk has high estrogen proteins and can cause decreased brain function in infants. The entire UK (England, Ireland, Scotlanf ,Wales, etc.) and many parts of Europe have outlawed Soy based infant formula. If you are a man and you want saggy breats, slim legs and an increased chance of testicular cancer - by all means drink more soy!
