Wow skinnies, we seem to have hit a low in motivation.  For those who have been putting off your workouts, how about today you set a goal to exercise for 10 minutes today?  This can be walking around the block, 10 minutes of jump rope, skipping through the nieghborhood, walking up and down stairs, doing a series of push-ups/sit-ups, jog in place......anything, just MOVE TODAY!  After your 10 minutes is up, that's it you've met your goal for today, give yourself a pat on the back.

I could eat a small child. Or a horse. Or an entire building. Or all three.

Not hormonal, plenty hydrated. Just hungry hungry hungry hungry.

I refrained from eating small children, houses, and buildings yesterday - went higher than I wanted to in calories, but kept it clean...that's something atleast.

How're you doing, Saling?

On top of everything else now I have a cold.  The reason the little children were safe from you Enders is that I think I ate them...

I haven't had a cold in over a year (since I have actually been training),  I stop and look what happens.

Well I guess the easy answer is that you must start training again. Things will look up soon!

I went to work and back yesterday which was all together about 3,5km

I also went to the gym today- 35mins bike and 25mins run and I'm BROKEN. First of all my last workout was on Thursday, my weekend diet was absolutely attrocious and I had 2 cigarettes on Saturday and 1 yesterday- is there anybody in our group who is actually full time or most of the time smoker and trying to tri?

Food for the last 2 days has been acceptable. MOnday:
breakfast- wheatabix with milk, coffee with milk
breakfast 2- Weight Watchers fruit yoghurt
lunch- 4 slices of ryvita, 2 leaves of lettuce, 2 slices of low fat cheese, 2 slices of tomato
snack- 1 bowl of cereal (no milk)
dinner- rice (100g maybe bit less), a few slices of carrot (less then 100g), some zuchinni (100g or bit less)
snack- 1 orange, 2 bowls of cereal without milk (100-150g?; oats, some almonds- basically sweet taasting)

Good points: I didn't eat chocolate, I didn't eat any fast foods (eg.fries)
Bad points: after dinner snack especially that I didn't really want it. I think I ate it only because it was there.

Today:
breakfast- see above
breakfast 2- Danone Vitalinea pineapple yoghurt (0% fat), medium banana
lunch- 2 wholemeal pita breads, 1 slice of low fat cheese, 1 slice of chilli cheese (run out of low fat), 1 lettuce leaf, 1/2 of a medium tomato, 50g or less of fresh cucumber, 1 fresh large carrot. No butter or anything of that sort.
SO far so good even though I feel a bit bad that I had those 2 pitas instead of 1 or ryita but then again I was after my workout so I hope it won't do that much damage. As for later I plan to have na appple at 6-ish (just before work) and then bought veggie soup for dinner (after work at 9ish). I sometimes have 2 slices of ryvita with my soup.

I won't be able to do any workout tomorrow as I'll be busy packing and getting ready but I'll walk to work again. As to my trip to Paris I won't lie about it- there's gonna be a lot of non-diet food and wine and all but I can promise I'll at least try to curb my appetite, sweets intake and other demons.

Sappho- congratulations!!!!!

You know looking at your diet, I'm not seeing any solid protein sources in there.  I'm sorta thinking that maybe part of the problem with your diet is that you are too LOW on nutrition and maybe even calories - and so your body rebels and then you pig out because you need more food.  Especially when training.  If you tracked calories for a few days, what's that number?

2 packs a day!  Yikes!  How long does it take to smoke that many cigarettes?  If you quit you'd have a lot more time to train

Here's something to think about.....tomorrow my father is going in to have a biopsy done, the DR found a "spot" on his lung.  My dad started smoking when he was 16-17 years old.  He's 60 now and has not smoked in 12 years.  The DR said it could be "nothing" and of course it could be something horrible on the other end of things.  Sorry to be so harsh, just something for you to keep in mind when you light up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hasn't been eating or training well.

Last Tuesday I broke out in hives. I have been working 12 hour days for the past week or so. When I work a 12 hour day, it is nearly impossible for me to get up at 5 to go work out. I try every morning and end up setting the alarm so I can have just a little more sleep. I haven't been to the gym in about a week.

I have made up my mind again to quit smoking...come hell or high water! And more water, more activity and less junk food. Hmmm...maybe I should tackle one things at a time

You know I was thinking the same thing.  Somewhere on this site SpiritFire posts and she was really great and did a nutrition thing for me, just general of my weight / hours per week of training and how much pro / cho / fat i shld be eating a day.  I found I was waaaaay low on the carbs.  Do you chart your nutrition?  I'm fanatical about it so I can see the breakdown and it's definitely an eye opener......

Yell Oh, boo-hiss.  I knew it was too good to be true.  Time to self-destruct.  And a business trip tomorrow.  Ack.  eating out.  Paid for meals.

Up + 2 this week.  140.5

Though I really should not complain.  I haven't been in the 130s since, well, my 30s heh, heh, heh. I was so excited I ate it all back...... but I guess when you eat enough deep fried cream cheese (crab rangoon) and Pad Thai for a family of four it's bound to happen.
