| I had to share this story, it was too funny to keep to myself.
I was out last night riding with the local cycling club's race team. Afterwards, we were chatting and one of the guys told us that our sponsor, the local bike shop is very busy this week. The MS150 is this coming weekend, as in tomorrow. He said he is very busy with people coming in and wanting to buy new very expensive race bikes and others wanting to buy new fancier components so they can "win the MS150".
There are so many things wrong with this that I can't even count them all. I bet these are the same people who came out with our beginner group ride (23 miles) last weekend for the first time to begin their training for the MS.

My one roommate (the crazy one) asked me awhile back if she could borrow my hybrid because she was thinking about doing an MS150. She hasn't been on a bike since she was a kid. I humored her, and said I would clean it up for her, but needless to say, she has yet to borrow it.

| WHAT ?!?!?! I just spent $7,000 on a new Guru, bought the tighest fitting clothes I could find, and recruited my girlfriend to drive a car just in front of me and dangle a ham sandwich out the window to make me faster, and now your'e telling me I can't win the MS150. I guess I'll just take my new bike and get comfortable in the new aero bars at my local beginners ride tonight. | |

| I won my MS150 in the Clydes category. I would have placed 250th in my a/g but no one knew it was a clyde/athena race so I was 1 out of 1! I rock! | |

| I'm riding in the MS150 tomorrow. I'm gonna wear my aero helmet and ride my mountain bike. ;-)
