I'm a manly man turning 32 this year and stand about 5'11.
I weighed in this morning at 206 after a wonderful 10 lbs December. Yeesh!
Anyways, I hope to end the year at 175.

Oh just a little more detail...

I'm trying Friel's training program (TTB)... I'm starting Base 2, aiming to peak for a Sprint tri and a Century in May, then re-peak for some late summer/early fall races.

Alright, I forced myself back on the scale this morning. Here are my stats:

Female, 35, medium-large frame
current weight: 215 (down from 254 last January)
goal weight: somewhere between 150-160
goals: Olympic tri in August, a couple of sprints over the summer

Last May I saw a listing for a super sprint and thought, "you know, with consistent work, I think I'd be able to do that." This has totally changed my life. I'm no longer exercising just to see how much weight I can lose, but in order to see how I can get my body to meet new challenges. When I started, jogging 1/4 mile was excruciating; last week I just ran (albeit still slowly) 7 miles. I never thought I'd be able to run 7 miles- even when I was young. I can't wait to see what changes this year brings!

Ok, so how do we want to divide up into teams? A really simple way to shoot for even distribution is to have those of us born on an even date of the month on one team, odd dates the other. Other ideas?

Keep on posting if you would like to join the challenge. Tonight Wed. (Jan 5th) I'll start to divide up the teams. I'm trying to balance age, goal weight loss and male and females...so that they are even as can be.

If you read this later and still want to join, either post to this or send me a message and I'll add you to a team. We will have next Friday (Jan 14th) be the first weigh in day. Your starting weight will be what you posted.

Questions...post or ask me and I'll try to get back to you. I now work so usually check in early am and then afternoon/evening.

So when you post include:
Female/Male
Age
Height is optional
Current Weight
Goal Weight
If you want to include plan you are following for Tri that would be great.

This will be a lot of fun!! Start thinking of team names. Once you are assigned to a team...that team can start a thread and share ideas and support...and even pick a name for your team.

Yes, holidays defrayed strides I made a couple years ago. Here are the vitals:

Female
Age: 29
Height: 5'1"
Frame: med/large, broad
Weight: 157
Goal: 145

I want to run an olympic distance sometime late summer, so I'm slowly gearing up for that, doing base workouts now and then will be starting the 16 week olympic training schedule in March or April, depending on when I find a race. I just can't tolerate that much riding inside!

I am already down 40 lbs from last Jan. I started running and eating right as my new years resolution last year. At the end of the Summer I got interested in Tri's and started training. This year I am ready to take my fitness and weight one step further.
