Yeah I've watched the video a couple of times, thank you for producing it! I was there and camped out for registration last year so I know the transition area, but it was nice to actually see where we come up out of the water and that helix.

I was looking for the athlete guide 'cos I saw it last year, good to know it just hasn't been posted yet.

I kinda figured I'd need a range of potential outer layers 'cos Sept weather in WI is as squirrely as it is here. I've been trying out a number of stuff for running, but all have their faults...plus I've lost 15# over the summer so what was comfy earlier, even in July, isn't any longer.. I'm slow too, so even my long runs only got me to 13 miles. Thank you for the advice, I think I'll get it worked out, but yeah I mostly wanted to make sure there was a semi private area to change into what I need. I'll be out there a long time.

My goal is to finish (which I keep reminding myself) so I'm not too worried about transition times, but my competitive side keeps pushing back in and stressing me out.

Things are going pretty well as far as training goes.  My swimming has made another small improvement after making a small change.  Biking has been good but have been having troubles with figuring out the right shorts to wear for 112 miles of "comfort".  Will do my last 6 hour ride tghis weekend.  Had last long run last weekend and it went well.  I was at the bike shop yesterday picking up my ride after getting an IM check-up and figured I would get some leg warmers now, just in case.  Sales guy kind of looked at me funny when I asked where they were.  I want to be prepared for any kind of weather.  Best of luck to all as we make it through these final 22 days of training.

Bryan, just don't bring out the flash dance sweatshirt with those leg warmers!

I'm happy- had my longest swim since my crash yesterday- 3000 yds and I felt good. Coach didn't see any problems with my stroke and said that I looked like I was cruising normally. (I can tell I'm not because my left side is tight and I can't fully pull just yet, but I'm close) and my swim times are getting back close to where they've been. I've still got this weekend and next to go long, though my last 20 mi run is this weekend. YAY!

Coming from hot and humid SC, I can't imagine that it could be cool at WI, but I would welcome it. I'll have to dig out some jackets, etc from my winter stuff.

Ok...I've got to share because I surprised myself yesterday.  I had a 2h 30m run scheduled and I did it in the afternoon so it would be hotter.  As we all know, there is no telling what we will get on race day weatherwise.

I didn't look at my watch, but just ran.  I would have been very pleased with 8 min miles as this is my goal for IM.  After I downloaded my data, I realized that I ran 20 miles in 2h 32m and that averaged 7:36/mile!!  For the first 2h 10m I was at 7:44's and then I dropped it to sub 7's for the last 3.2 miles.

I almost crapped my pants after I did the happy dance.  It's amazing what you body will do if you just let it go.  Normally, I am obsessing over times and splits, but I just ran and didn't focus on pace.

So just let your body do what it's trained to do!!
