Subject: RE: Tri Tattoo question... PirateGirl - 2005-01-28 8:18 AM the bear - 2005-01-28 7:02 AM That's nice, pg. How long did that take, if you don't mind me asking. I've thought about getting a tat, but at my age it would be kind of pathetic. Thanks. Total time was about 17 hrs, but each session was only about 2-3 hrs and it was spread over 3 months. If I ever finished an IM, I probably would get a tattoo. I've already started thinking about placement and design. But it wouldn't be the plain M dot. I'd put more decoration into it to make a bit more artistic. Another personal ? if you don't mind.......Since you got it done in sections, is there any difference in the ink or coloring? I want a largish tat, but that has always been a concern, the discontinuity in ink from session to session.... Also, as far as getting a tat; for someone considering what to get, make sure that you know what it is you are getting. My wife just got her balck belt and wanted to have "Shorin-Ryu" in kanji tatooed on her back. The artist made it a point to verify the Kanji to make sure it was not in some way gang related. Turns out the kanji she had was corerect, but he said that a lot of people pick a tatoo without being sure what it means, and end up regretting it, so like everyone else said, think about it, and be sure what you get is what you want, cause it is going to be there for a long time. |
