What has made you happy today? (Page 2)

Great post. Nice to stop and think about these things. What made me happy? My 2 year old smiling and saying "bye daddy" this morning when I left for work, which prompted my 4 year old to want to go one step further and give me hugs and kisses, which  then prompted the 2-yr old to want to do the same. Nice way to say goodbye!

Oh, and the 4yr old saying "Why did you sleep in your bike shorts?" when he came into the room this morning (I was dressed in bike clothes ready to go to work, but just chillin' with my wife for a few mins). It made me smile.

Ride in was good. Just glad to be able to do it. There are plenty of people who can't! And yeah, the thought that tonight might be Chinese take-out night!

I taught an aquatic fitness class to 35 little kids at the Y.  They loved it.  Afterwards, one little girl (about 5 or 6) came up to me and told me I look like her mommy.  She looked sad and I asked her if she missed her mommy....she said yes and just gave me a huge hug. 

Quite a gift for me today, as I am missing my own little kids.  Sophie and Bennie (ages 8 and 5) have been in Savannah since last Sat. with their dad....this is the longest I have been apart from them and I am literally aching for them.  I just want to hold them close and smell their hair and count every second as a blessing.

Doug and I leave tonight to go get them on Sunday.   

Not getting up to swim this a.m. and instead doing a giant floor puzzle with my 3 yr old daughter.

Singing "We did it" (lo hicimos) to celebrate finishing it (even though she really did it all)

Knowing I can still swim at lunch

Taking a leisurely mid-morning stroll from the office to the Taco Shack for breakfast tacos (its a texas thing) for my crew on a sunshiny Fri.

Eating said tacos. Chorizo Egg & Cheese in warm flour tortilla...yummmm. 

knowing I may still make all my scheduled workouts for the week...I still have 2 days left.

nothing hurts too bad today. 

Waking up to another day

Boss took my coworker and I (summer interns) out to lunch

Myself, the girlfriend, and 10 others going to see Batman tonight

First tri tomorrow morning followed by a Sat/Sun golf tourney

I have awesome family/friends/job

I try to thank God every day for the blessings in my life

Great idea for a post!

-I have a fridge full of Yuengling waiting for me to finish my long run this evening.

-I'm re-reading Harry Potter (just started the 3rd book last night).

-My training is finally back on track after 3-4 years of no direction half-heartedness.

-It's Friday.

-I'm grilling hamburgers tonight.

Getting 10 minutes more of sleep before departing pre-dawn for the gym.

Feeling the water, warmer than the air, during my swim

Feeling like I was just jogging during my easy run, taking it easy today

Seeing my wife at lunch, liking it when she said she thinks I'm a sexy gum-chewer

Getting my wheels from all3sports today (ordered Wednesday!)

Good pizza for lunch!

Getting a day away from work today & hang out with my sons. 

Asking my youngest to get me a garbage bag from the kitchen...and he brings me the garbage bag OUT of the trash can.  So stinking CUTE.

It's sunny and clear in Cleveland.

Being stoked for my first tri Sunday.

Sipping iced tea on my patio.

Silence.

Simply waking up and being grateful that I get to have another day here. 

TGIF!!!

Its the weekend and I signed up for a tri this morning. Looking forward to my Friday afternoon nap-yum

Running this morning with the beautiful red cliffs from the morning sun and the big ole moon hanging his hat up for the night.

Dog NOT running after the deer in the yard and NOT catching the rabbit she chased and stopping the chase and coming right back when asked.

Day off work to do what ever I want.

Have a beautiful fun day everyone! 

Oh! Oh! I've got two:

- Unstrapping my daughter from her high chair and saying "Yay!" and having her say it in her own way at the same time.

- Snuggling my daughter and always being amazed at how she smells like marshmallow or chocolate in spite of not having eaten any.

Left work early (woo hoo!).

Laughing with my son about something silly.  He is 15, but still just a little boy in my heart and eyes.

Reflecting on the fact that there really are good people in the world.  BTers are proof of that.

Enough said...
