Veteran  2297    Great White North |  Subject: RE: New race, Ironman 70.3 Calgarythe local buzz hints at a fast sell out, this may force the ITU to carefully choose its dates for Canmore if it does make the world cup calender... I've ridden most of the route and the climb out of Cochrane is a long grinder, its not as tough as "Cochrane Hill" which is the usual way I ride out there... its the 600 foot climb on the vertical map (the first big spike). I'm not sure how they will be moving stuff/people around but the course is by far the long way around from point a to b so in theory volunteers can be quickly repositioned to new locations. |

Finally back on my feet and figured this would be a good goal for doing IMC in 2010. Looking forward to the race. |

But enough about me. Here's a link I found on the temperature of Ghost Lake. There is only data for 2 days in 2001, but the measurement dates are pretty close to August 2.
