Ok,

I am going to blame this on the fact that I have added a strenght training program to my routine along with working on my running, and that I am building new muscle, but I am up this week to 268.5. I gained one pound since last week.

Peace,

Chris

Not playing...game over... at least until next week...The last few weeks have been nerve racking and I have been under the weather...I have been eating everything in site, which made moving easier as I ate our couch and love seat....

So I made a deal with myself...not to freak out over the gained weight and starting next week, I will get back to working out and eating right...But this week I have to clean out the old apartment and all the crap that comes with that, my stress level is high and my time to actually workout and think about proper diet is low.

Weight this week

199...aaaaaaaaaaahhhh...

weigh in:

today 122.6

last week 124

I buckled down this week, logged everything I ate, and kept it under my alloted calories except for 1 cheat meal. Now if I can just keep it going I might finally reach my goal. It's not gonna happen this month though.

Chris,  If you are gaining a pound a week in muscle ...I want to know your workout.  More than likely it is water.  Have you been drinking more?  You better be.

I have heard that the "furniture diet" leads to weight gain.

I don't usually make menus-I do pretty well at individual meals..it's the sitting around that you mentioned that kills me, so yea, thanks for the advice-that will be my new goal for the coming weeks-to keep myself busy.

My other problem: after dinner I crave sweets uncontrollably.  I feel like it's more of a behavioral thing because growing up my family had dessert after every dinner.  Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?  The best I have done is to eat a 60 cal fudgecicle as a substitute for a big bowl of ice cream

Try something just as sweet without the calories... Fruit, coffee with a fat free dairy creamer, sugar free candy, etc...

Still sub-200, though! Just try to eat better, although we all need more fiber in our diets, not sure if cotton/wool/leather is the way to go??? Workin an extra run this wk if you find the time.

Me, I think, Last: 187.8

This: 188.2 --> So I am actually very pleased considering how hard it was to get past 190.... And now being able to stay sub 190 despite lack of workouts.

Update... 12 days till the next round!

Ok maybe the muscle excuse was just wishful thinking. Yep I have a 24 oz water bottle that goes every where with me. I probably refill it about 4 or 5 times a day.

Can any one sugest a good nutrition plan to work into my routine?

Peace,

Chris

Chris,  Log something and I will make suggestions.  The water will balance out once your body gets used to it.  At the beginning the water will bloat you some and then it will become normal.  Diet should be something like 55% carb - 25% protein - 20% fats.  Someplace in that ballpark.
