I finally got a bike!!!!!

Veteran  249   Cypress, Tx |  Subject: I finally got a bike!!!!!It's "just" a Specialized Allez...maybe Ill get a Cervelo next year. But right now I can swim 2.4 miles in 1:45 and I can run a 6k in 58 min. ....and cycling is my strength... So I think I'm gonna commit to a Sprint on Apr 2. |

I should know... http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp... (An unexpected bonus at work allowed me to move up to the Elite. And my wife likes red.) I really liked the look of the black ones as well. I wish Specialized (and others) would allow you a little more flexibility in paint scheme on the lower end bikes... but I can understand why they dont... (I'm assuming your new ride is an '04 Allez Triple, no?) I've heard a lot of good things about the Sora/Tiagra component set, from those who aren't too snobbish to try it... and I really like the Bar Phat. I'm bouncing between QR, Cervelo, and Felt for my first Tri-specific bike... but at the rate I'm saving, I've got a few years to figure it out... Enjoy your new bike!!! And good luck on that Sprint!! |
