Anyone up for a 7-mile run around Calhoun and Harriet this weekend. We can BS about how much fun IMOO was while keeping our HRs in zone 2.

Funny, I was just talking to Matchman about how much I missed those runs from last winter and how we had to make those a priority this winter.  I can't commit to make it this weekend.  Going to be pacing with Kelly for about 6-7 miles for Twin Cities.  Outside chance we would come up and run with a group but I doubt it.  She lost about 6 weeks of training earlier and had pretty much cancelled out of the race.  Now she thinks she may be able to do it just for a finish.  This means she's doing 5 minute run and 1 minute walk-about 11:15 miles.  She'd hate to slow others down.  Set a time and we'll see what happens.  As far as the rest of the late fall and winter?  I'd really like to get something on a more regular basis.

I am in for a regular winter run as well. It was much easier to go run outside with other people when it was cold out.

As for slowing people down, you do realize that it took me 5 hours to run my IMOO marathon, right?

NOBODY slows me down!!!!

One of my goals this year is to get outside 1-2 days a week throughout the winter for a run. I can't this weekend but I'm up for other weekends. Sounds like a good idea.

Well, in the interest of giving everyone advance notice and time to plan, what does everyone think about next Sunday morning?

I promise I will be up for runs in the near future.  But for right now I am out.  Have my brothers wedding things to deal with the next two weekends.

Is this offer only for IMOO finishers?  I'd be happy to listen to the details of your IMOO experience.  It just happens that I need to run 7 miles and I'm free on Sunday morning, so if I may come let me know.  I would be looking for about 10 m/m average overall at most, so if that's too slow that's cool.  Just let me know.

I don't suppose anyone's interested in stretching this to a 10-15 miler?

I could do 10 (around all three lakes) and 10-min/mile is ok by me.

What time works for you guys and gals?

I was good with 8:00.  I'll just drop off when we get near to the cars and I've had enough.   Where do you guys like to meet?   I know there's a resistance faction that prefers the blue office building over my choice, the boathouse.  Either is fine, just say which.  David - I'm not sure I will recognize you for sure...

BOATHOUSE!!!!

It's tradition.

0800 works for me as well.

As for a picture of me, well I am 6-1, 180 pounds, blond, and I quit shaving a week ago. Oh, and I'll be driving a silver Honda Accord.

Geez man you're an Ironman now for God's sake.  Tell her you'll be wearing something with a huge m-dot on it.

Um, since I am an Ironman with less than stellar bike-crash-avoidance skills, I was too cut, bruised and sore Monday morning to even go pick up my special needs bags, let alone shop at the store for any finisher clothing. I could barely walk with my stupid hip.

That's a bummer about the bags and gear.

Dude - you're blond?  See, I def wouldn't have recognized you.  I'll see you at the  boathouse at 8.

I will be there. I guess I do have my finisher's hat from IMOO I could wear.

is this a ongoing thing.. i'd love to have a runners romp around the lakes for winter base .. its tough getting out in the snow... and motivation is easier when you have a pack of runners...

I am going to try and keep it going as a regular thing. I really hate the treadmill, and would love to get more of my running outside in the winter.

Now I have to cancel. I am going to do a co-worker a favor and do an on-call thrombolytics check at 0700 tomorrow morning. I apologize, but with my wife quitting her job to take care of the baby, I couldn't really justify skipping 4-hours of OT for a 1-2 hour case to go running.
