I tested to 38 at the end of week 4.  that was up from 9 at the initial test.

Today was week 5, day 1, col 2 .... ouch!  couldn't quite do it!

Tried week 5 day 1 last night. Should have done column 3 but tried col 2 instead and still failed to reach the minimum number for the 5th rep (should have been 28-35-25-22-35, managed 28-35-22-22-20).

Gonna drop down to col 1 for the rest of the week I think

I might have to drop back on the pushups to the 2nd column.  I was going good on week 3, but couldn't hit the max on day 3.  Instead of 28, I only got to 16 for the 5th set.

I'm still in the on-again/off-again mode of trying to get this challenge done.

I found an Iphone app that does the set counting / logging for you, and, being a gadget freak has motivated me to start again.

Although the first test puts me at week 3, I decided to start from week 1 this time and diligently try to work through all 6 weeks and to success.

End of week 5 test and am up another 10 to 60 which I am very happy with. However, that does mean i need to improve by 40 pushups in the final week. Something tells me I might be repeating week 6 once or twice

I am currently in week two and just finished day 2.  i am doing OK so far.  I've been able to do at least 1 higher than the max on the last set of each...we'll see if I can continue that trend.  After I reach this goal (hopefully in 6 weeks?????) I am going to go for the 20 pull-ups (just saw that in a post above mine).  I love having these goals as they have been helping to keep me driven!  I am also hoping to continue with the 3x a week push-ups.  I think when I'm done with this (yeah, I know, it's a while off...) I may go back a couple weeks and do that week continuously to help maintain (is that how you spell maynetaine Laughing)

I just did the week 2 test and did 33.  I think I did either 19 or 22.  Hopefully the increases will come faster with the increase in # of push-ups per set as well as future weeks increasing the number of sets to 8 along with less rest and higher max's in the final set.  Good luck to all!

I just finished week 3 and will be going on to week 4.  I had a real hard time with the final set and the 28 minimum.  I ended up resting for about 4 minutes instead of the 2 minute (even though they say rest longer if needed) suggestion.  They do reduce the rest time to get the sets closer to being right in a row, but I needed this help!  I have a feeling I'll reach a failure point before week 6 and will need to back up a week.  I did the first two sets (22, 30) just fine, but struggled after that (20, 20, 28 minimum).  Does anyone else rest in the up position when you are struggling?

Yes, I rest in the up position as well but for no more than 10secs (if I need anymore than that I figure I've reached my limit)

I'm brand new to BT - 15 days old or so.  This will be my first challenge, as I need to integrate some core work into my race prep.  Very pumped to hit this one over the fence - will update with my progress!

Had to miss out day 3 (week 6 column 2) due to illness, but am now up to 85.

Think I'll do column 2 again this week and will hopefully crack the 100.

I've never done a challenge here, but this one sounds cool.  I'm not sure why -- I'm not really into strength training.  But I'm in.  I just did the initial test (and typing is now really hard!).  I eked out 30 before my form started to fall apart.  So I guess that's where I start.

welcome newbies.

I was out sick the past 10 days or so and did none.  So I figured I'd restart where I left off, week 5, col 2, day 2.... and I rocked it!  finished with 50!!  that was after 7 sets of 16-20!  SO... onwards!

Congrats sicone on moving up!  And to the newbies, stick with it!

I just failed in the last two sets of week 4, day2.  It was supposed to be:

25, 29, 25, 25, 38+ and I did

25, 29, 25, 20, 25

I think I am going to finish out the week and then test to see where I am at.  I think I did 33 at the end of week 2 test.  If I don't go up a lot, I will do week 4 again and then retest.  Seems like I'm not the only one redoing!  But, it's good we're not giving up!  I have noticed a difference in my upper body physique as well as harder abs (plus probably other muscled that I can't see!).

Keep up the good work!

I just saw this challenge the other day and I thought it sounded like fun.
I just finished Column 3 of Day 2 in Week 3 last night and let me say, I'm feeling it!

I got so inspired that I started the twohundredsitups and twohundredsquats also.

Well, after 2 failed attempts at week 6, I have finally managed 100 consecutive pushups!

I going to keep doing week 6 now to make sure I don't drop back down (plus to make doing the 100 easier, my triceps are a little on the stiff side right now!)
