My first race of the season was last Sunday at the Hyannis 1/2 Marathon. What a way to get the season started! So much fun!

My first tri of the season is in 19 days....MAP Sprint Tri in Charlotte. Are you ready, Jeff?

The first will probably the Barkin' Dog Duathlon in May, plus a couple of Stroke-n-Strides in the summer. Gearing up for 3 tri's this season. Xterra at Keystone, Fat Tire Off-Road Tri in Ft Collins, and the Women's Reebok Tri in Seattle - its a benefit for ovarian cancer research plus a good excuse to vacation up in that direction!

I start the season off with Shamrock Marathon March 19th (my first), followed by the Indy Mini Marathon May 7th. I fianlly get a triathlon in June, Breezy Point. I really wanted to do the Kinetic Sprint but thought it would be too much  between the marathon and the half. Anyone else doing any of the other Virginia triathlons this summer? I'm thinking about the one at Culpeper State Park, early August I think.

I'm racing the Ralph's half IM in less than 3 weeks. 3 weeks! I can't believe it. I feel so unprepared but I'll do what I can. Also since I have never raced anything longer than a sprint I'm a little nervous about the whole thing.

Ah, St. Patty's day. What we 5th/3rd generation Somervillians of Irish descent fondly refer to as "Amateur Hour".

I am sooo not ready! But on the good side I weighed today under 155 for the first time in ages!! Let's see if this holds.
See ya there.

edit.... huh? This was a preply to NYTriGal. Why it isn't under her post I don't know.
The race is St Anthony's.

In flat format the post will appear in order that it was made.  In threaded format it will be under the post you're replying to.  So if you look at this in threaded view, you'll see it falls directly under my post.

That used to drive me nuts too.  When I want to see the posts quickly I use flat format.  When I'm trying to see them in context, I opt for threaded.

Definately, the water I can imagine will be freezing!

No way man, Lake Anna is right next to a nuclear power plant. Quite warm if I remember correctly

Actually, I think the race site said upper 60's. So wetsuit it is!

BTW, if you haven't figured it out, that will be my first race of the year (Kinetic sprint).

Better late than never. My first tri will be a sprint near Cumberland, MD. It is a fun course.

I had hoped to start the running season with the opening 10 km (a harsh run on a mountainous road) on March 20, but I am still out of action due to my illness and my hip. I may have to wait and do a 5 km. I haven't run in months.
