Subject: Cardinal Harbor Tri

Greetings KY BTers,

I'm trying to get my season mapped out for next year and want to do the Cardinal Harbor HIM as a warm up for IMKY. I have not been able to find anything online for the 2009 race. I realize it's still early and RD may not have gotten their schedules together yet. But, what can anyone tell me about this race? Was it a one time only last year? Is a a race woth traveling for or does it stink? Any info is welcome.

I would say Todd and Cynthia will put the race on.  They know a lot of people rely on that race as prep for IMLou.  Most likely 6 weeks or so out from the IM.  They are usually very responsive to email or calls, great people.

They are great RDs and Cynthia did IMKY this year herself.  They are very active in the local tri community and schedule their races knowing people are looking to use them as training for Ironman.

I sent todd a message. I am looking for a race to do before the imky. this would fit the bill. If I hear anything I will post. I will keep an eye out for ant other info.
on a side note did they do the him in taylorsville this year? I never saw anything about it.

I sent Todd an email back about two months ago and never got a response. I will wait for feedback from anyone here before I send him another shout. I am thinking this would be perfect timing.

A note to the people that may be interested in signing up.   It took me a while to find the actual link as Cardinal is spelled incorrectly on Active.  They have it listed as "Cardnial".

I live in southern IN. Was planning on doing this one as well too. Will be my first HIM. I have done 3-4 sprints, and an OLY. I think that I am ready, really trying to put in some base miles now.
