Subject: RE: Who has truly bonked? I guess the definition is up for discussion but when I first heard the term I took it to mean what I had seen happen while in the Army. Pure full blown face plants or not being able to get back up. By that I mean not THINKING you couldnt get back but actually NOT having your body respond at all to what you were telling it or just being unconcious. I once watched a buddy do two face plants in a minute but that was more based on fatigue and sleep deprivation ( 2.5 days) than anything else. The exhaustion feeling and the feeling of just having no more fuel are different but neither is fun. Oh and talking to bushs and trees is just a pleasant side effect. Hallucinations are always fun after the fact. I have been told that I am hypoglycemic and experiencing that confusion, dizziness and exhaustion is not pleasant. As someone else said I always come home with some type of food left over no matter what I do. |
