season over .......maybe tris over....... (Page 2)

Been on Coumadin for eight years (since my heart surgery).  My PCP and cardiologist both encourage and support my tri training.  Lots of myths and mis-information out there about Coumadin - a lot of it is BS.  Hope they find the cause of your probs soon.  Listen to your docs, but don't draw any conclusions about your future until you know for sure what's going on.

Chris, I'm so sorry you are going through this...I followed your revenge on IMAZ from a distance (no I am not stalking you!) but one thing that really resonates with me is your strong will and determination and I am sure if there is a way to conquer this, you will!  and you have a bunch of people here on BT sending massive positive vibes.  Take care.

Don't worry about the tri scene right now, your health is most important.  Get well quick.

Major bummer. Get better, and definitely work closely with your docs to find the cause of such clots. It is indeed rare for an active athlete (high level as well) like yourself to develop such problems, so it will be important to find the underlying problem if there is one.

I don't know the medical condition but I'll second what others have said, get well first and worry about the long term solutions later.
