I started the month with a week of tapering, had a good 70.3, and then a few days later pulled a hamstring muscle. Running since then has been pathetic, and I've passed up a lot of biking and even some swimming in an effort to let the leg recover. I've discarded any time goals for IMC and I'm starting to wonder if I'll even be fit to start the race. I'm still hopeful, but it may be a loooong day!

July's totals:
Bike: 12h 55m - 390.6 KM
Run: 7h 01m 33s - 67.7 KM
Swim: 8h 39m 18s - 23400 M

My bike was in the shop for a lot of July, so my cycling miles were a little down.  I made up for it by focusing more on running (training for a marathon in Oct), and ran the most I've ever run in a month (previous max was 168).

July's totals:
Bike:5h 42m 20s  - 95.93 Mi
Run:22h 21m 01s  - 170.2 Mi
Swim:3h 12m 32s  - 8950 Yd

June's totals:
Bike:9h 13m 47s  - 167.3 Mi
Run:9h 38m 17s  - 73.49 Mi
Swim:3h 22m 36s  - 9512 Yd

2009 totals
Bike:106h 06m 47s  - 1809.75 Mi
Run:98h 23m 10s  - 755.34 Mi

My run is higher than last month but bike is less even with a 4 hour 55 mile ride.  I do not enjoy the bike at all.  My gyms spin room was closed for 2 weeks this month so that didn't help.  Most of these bike hours and bicycle rather than spin bike.

Sorry I did not get back to you, I was at work. I am an airline pilot and can make my own schedule, I also had a training vacation last month and had 12 days off. My wife was not to thrilled about no vacation this year so I had to take her to the Coach outlet. Jim

bryancd - 2009-07-31 9:05 AM What always gives me a good giggle is when I see someone's logs and their pretty bar graph shows like 20+ hours of "training". I think, man, are they hitting it! Then I dig deeper and realize they logged 5 hours of playing kickball.....

Hey Bryan, I’ve been hitting it.

July's totals:

Bike:

45h 55m 01s  - 853.85 Mi

Run:

17h 46m 40s  - 129.02 Mi

Swim:

This is my best month (I've only been keeping stats for 2 monthsLaughing)  Looking at the numbers really gives me a sense of accomplishment. Just started tri training in March in anticipation for my first race on my 42nd birthday in Nov. I am really enjoying this "journey" and the race will be the icing on the cake. Really love all the info found here!

Decent all around month.. could always use more swimming, and I knew the TdF challenge would cut into my running, but 14 miles over 7/30-7/31 made that respectable.

Monthly totals:
S:  13313.82 Yd - 4h 20m 40s
B:  450.55 Mi - 25h 40m 27s
R:  56.25 Mi - 7h 25m 37s
