Um ... while I really like Felt as a company, I have to say which ever fits you the best.

When I went to buy a new bike last year, I was dead set on cervelo until I got to the fitting process.  Ended up going with a Specialized.  I am 6'4 with a long torso (only 35 inch inseam) and the Specialized just fit better (I was basically being crammed onto the Cervelo).  Been very happy with Specialized as a bike and Specialized as a company and have no regrets.

x3 - I walked in to my LBS to buy a Cervelo because I "knew" it was what I wanted.  Turns out Specialized worked for me too.  I love it.  The guys there put me on a Cervelo to show me how cramped I would be and sure enough, I did not like it.

Unless you're a oddly shaped person(plenty of us are!) you want the felt.

Given you have longer torso/shorter legs, I would guess the Felt would fit best.  The Specialized and Cannondale are better for the short torso/long legged bunch.

I despise Huffydale Fred, so I would suggest one of the other 2.  Having owned both a Felt and Specialized as well, I'd still lean toward the Felt assuming it fit well.

PennState - 2009-10-07 7:05 AM I will be meeting with my LBS tomorrow for bike fitting and to look at the Felt B2, Specialized Transition and Cannondale Slice. I am 5'11 with a longer torso/shorter legs. Looking to spend $3-5K. Currently I'm riding a 2005 aluminum Specialized transition with 105 compponents. Could anyone give me their thoughts on what they would suggest? Thanks in advance!

Any reason why just those 3?

If you look purely at stack and reach

Transition, guessing you are using a large

*cough* Scott *cough*

Seriously though... besides which one fits the best, get the one that you fall in love with. All of them are beautiful.

I agree with the others, get what is most comfortable...best fit.  I'm looking at a new bike also and am considerring Cannondale for the same reason...longer torso, shorter legs.  Looking at the Super Six.  Hopefully get that worked out this Friday.

Also, I don't know much about Felt other than they really build a nice looking bike!

I personally like the new Slices and the Transitions.  Not too hot on the new Felts though (even though I own one)

What do people like about their Felt's so much?? They look nice, just never considered it as much, sounds like I need to look a bit more huh?

I like mine because of the fit. I recently tried out a Cervelo, a Kuota and a higher-end Felt and the Felt really did fit best. I'm also in the short legs-long torso category. Actually, I'm in the short legs-short torso category. But really it came down to flexibility. I'm not flexible at all so the Cervelo was way too agressive so it felt like I was, as someone earlier said, cramped. And the Kuota, while better, still didn't fit as well as the Felt.

Just go to your LBS and pick the one that fits best regardless of brand name.

The transition and cannondale seem to have fit dimensions that are pretty close, the Felt seems a bit longer.

Sometimes it seems like the Felt is chosen as the "I don't want to buy a Cervelo" bike, nothing against them at all but just an observation.

Probably can't go wrong with any of them.

The Felt seems to have the most recent aerosdynamic features incorporated, especiallt that integrated head set/steer tube deal thingy.

Good point.  Didn't notice that, you have to go up to the Shiv to get that on the Specialized, don't believe that Cannondale offers anything using some of the newer features that the top end bikes are coming out with.

My guess is you would need a 54, otherwise you could buy my bike.    I'm not that attached, just kind of a bike to me.

Resurrect this thread after you've tried them and write the pros & cons from your test rides.

i do love that red bike tho....not that you should buy for color!

Since looks are all that matter, I'd grab the Felt.

they all look nice. The Cannondale is sig. lighter built from stock than the others I think... well the Specialized was 22.2 lbs, and the Cannondale was 19.2 lbs. Don't think the Felt is as heavy as the Specialized?

Give specialized the boot (i'm anti-specialized b/c i hate my dumb road bike and it's specialized).  You could travel to Pittsburgh & try out a cervelo too.  3 lbs is a lot when people are looking at how many grams their bottle cages weigh.
