what tiger did is a perfect example of human male nature at its best.
it makes me laugh how naive people are thinking that a male can go on with his life with one partner. man's brain isn't wired for a monogamous relationship.
it's not because he's famous or rich it is because the novelty wore off long time ago and he did what nature designed him to do....
cheers

LOL - I'm the one making very general satements????  You're funny.

Buick should be mad at Tiger for not crashing there SUV. I mean his Cadillac Escalde has been on more TV news shows than his buick commeriials on TV. Ok back to the Wifey issue. Tigers wifey was a pro-nanny and she hanged around alot of super stars and nannies gossip and she knew alot of pro athletes cheat, so maybe this was not such a big suprise to her and knew if tiger did cheat she would be in the MONEYYYYYYYYYYY. Anyways we will never know the truth but Same on you Tiger ,really a run down waitress in vagas mmmmm

But he imposed it on himself when he got married.
-your definition ag his...

And yes, anybody who has been a child of a parent who cheated on his family or any therapist can tell you how this will affect his children.
-it hasnt affected me. so you theory can be proven incorrect. again you are making generalization here...

His even more than your average joe since his kids will get to read about this for years in the news.  Everybody in the world will know their Father is a cheating and they will grow up knowing that.  Of course it will affect his children and his relationship with them.
-and this is based on what facts?

if you need me to elaborate i can do so...its a snoozeville at work today.

all i wrote was a common scientific knowledge...open any book on psychology and its there...so facts not general statements

I am sure I could quote just as many studies done on children of parents who cheat.... open any book on psychology and it's there ....so facts not general statments.

Insinuating children are not affected by a cheating parent is like saying they aren't affected by alcoholism or abuse.

Boy this thread has drifted....

Hey KK... Not to stir the pot, but I am a child of a parent who is an alcoholic (no longer drinks of course) and cheated a couple times and got caught. (BTW ~ IT WASN'T MY DAD!) oh yeah, and both my parents are still married after all that (happily, well that might be another thread ~ but married none the less)  My point is... I am perfectly normal!  LOL!  I enjoy a drink here & there, been married to the same woman for 16 years and haven't felt the need to cheat.  Had opportunities, but never felt it necessary to go through with it...

As far as men not being monogomous... We just wanna have sex often.  Hopefully our SO's let us tap that more often than not... but if it's the latter, then we go look for a new a watering hole.  There are exceptions... Some guys are just never satisfied, and women are in that group as well...

Okay, sorry... as you were!

Keri, I'm with you 100%. Great points.

To beyourself, so what if men are naturally wired that way? Have you ever not given into temptation and felt better about yourself as a result? We're naturally wired to eat chocolate cake and candy and fatty meat and everything that tastes good. Why don't we? Wouldn't it be nice for Tiger to look back on his life as an old man and say, "I was rich, famous, and could have had any woman I wanted, but I was true to my wife." He could have said that to his wife, children, and grandchildren and been an example of what true success is (IMO). He can't now. There is great reward in being faithful.

I think it’s interesting that everyone assumes that Tiger’s reluctance to speak to the cops or to allow the cops into his house stems from his own embarrassment or his reluctance to expose himself to bad PR.

If I’m not mistaken, Florida has pretty strict domestic abuse laws. I’m beginning to think that what he was doing was protecting his wife. I’m pretty sure that it it turns out that she hit him to the extent that she damaged his face, and then attacked the car that he was in with a golf club, that she could go to jail, even if he declines to press charges.

Perhaps there’s someone familiar with the laws in FL that can set me straight. If that’s the case, it doesn’t seem so terrible that he’s been unwilling to talk to the cops. I wouldn’t want my wife to go to jail over one domestic argument, no matter how heated it got.

mate,
all as you said is IMO. I didnt stay in my opinion blah blah blah all i said is what nature has done with man's brain. pls reread and reread. nowhere, i have stated it think what he did is right or wrong. again, i have no cares about it.
i merely poitned out a fact that people tend to forget because it is not very popular.
cheers

If a man wants to cheat, then he will.  Celebrities, having women throw themselves at them, will have a harder time even if they want to stay faithful due to mere frequency and ease of temptation.  Alcohol causes good intentions to be thrown out the window.  Men who wish to stay faithful, should avoid situations where they can be tempted, try to have someone with them who will keep them accountable if in tempting situations (i.e..WIFE, family member,..), and avoid alcohol in any situation where temptation will be present.  If faithfulness is truly important to the man, he will take the necessary steps to prevent it.

Since you are not "beingyourself"... I don't know your gender... although I assume (careful) you are a WO-man... You're not a man-hater are ya?  Cuz ALL is quite the generalization!  That would be like saying, ALL women are B's and only good for one thing... Hence ALL men are looking to spread the seed.   Just sayin' ~ the broad brush approach is neither good nor scientific...

I never said children of cheaters couldn't be NORMAL Trin2bfast   I'd like to think of you and I as normal - at least most of the time

My point is that children of cheaters are AFFECTED.  It is part of who we are just as all parenting choices are.  We carry that with us.  Knowing that our Father/Mother thought more of their own instant gratification than what that act had on our own family affects us as children.  Our parent made a chose, a selfish choice to the detriment of what we hold dear.  That hurts children.  Yes, we grow up to be normal and have great marriages and make different decisions than our own parents sometimes despite the way we were brought up.  As children we feel less secure when there is infidelity, we know the family unit is at risk and that is stressful for a child no matter how much money Daddy makes.  Every small child wants both their parents under the same roof and when a parent risks that everyone is affected.

Oh and as for the men want more sex than women I could argue with you there as well but I won't because I know I'm more the exception than the rule.

I also think it is very possible she abused him and that is also not OK especially with children in the home.

Interesting. Rachel Uchitel just cancelled her scheduled press conference.

http://x17online.com/celebrities/tiger_woods/rachel_uchitel_cancels...

How much do you think THAT will cost Tiger?

With another woman making claims and a wife to try and make happy, this is going to be one expensive "transgression" for Mr. Woods.

I guess you could say he really "transgress'ed" up.
