Whizzzzz....make sure you post a race report. Jitters are OK, it keeps you psyched up!

Good luck Bear...race report too. Knock 'em dead in the OLY. Steady on the bike, save something for the run!

Distance: 1/2m S; 13m Bike; 3m run
Goals: Get a solid tempo/threshold workout in. The sprint tri's are generally my training and threshold workouts for the week and want to get a nice heart-rate workout at about 85%+ for the race. Also want to get through this one without getting any mechanical problems!

Thanks Max! That's why I'm allowing 1:20 for the bike, we all know I could complete the 24.8 in an hour, but then I'd be spent for the run.

Location: Maui
Distance: Olympic
Goals: Swim hard, bike hard, hope that I can run and my leg doesn't hurt. Sub 3:00 would be fine.
Do you have the prerace jitters yet?
Just excited to be going. Whatever happens during the race is okay because it is in Maui. If my leg hurts and I have to walk it is just that much more time to enjoy the scenery!!

Here's my info for this weekend:

Race name: Reebok Women's Triathlon

Location: Naperville, IL

Distance: Sprint

Goals: finish respectfully- I don't think I'll be close to my 2003 time of 1:37:19. I'm hoping for somewhere in the 1:40s Haven't gotten enough training in due to a certain 10 month old.

Do you have the prerace jitters yet? No jitters, just eager anticipation.

Reebok Women's Tri
Naperville, IL
Distance: .75k/22k/5k
Goals: Not drown, then MOP on the bike, and in the upper third on the run. If I could pull this off in under 1:45, I'd be completely thrilled with myself.... you know, I should always just be happy to finish, but I'm finding that I'm a little too competitive for saying that.
Pre-race jitters: Uh, yea. The swim -- as always -- freaks me out. And this is an EASY swim. Geez - there are parts so shallow I'll be able to walk it. Who knows - maybe I'll surprise myself.

Race name: Keuka Lake Triathlon
Location: Keuka Park, NY (in the Finger Lakes)
Distance: Olympic (my first at that distance)
Goals:

 Good: 2:50-3:00
 Better:  2:45-2:50
Best: 2:40-2:45 This unlikely in the extreme, but it's what I'm aiming for.

It'll be a success if I finish and don't do so many stupid things that I can write a two part article entitled "How Not to Race an Olympic Distance Triathlon"

Do you have the prerace jitters yet? Like Bear, not so much jitters as concerns. This is my first tri of the season, 3rd tri ever, longest tri so far, the longest open water swim for me to date(by a factor of 2), and running a 10K in 80degree heat when I'm used to 60's and below.
