Hi...i'm looking for recommendations on swim goggles that don't leave rings around your eyes for hours and hours

I've never heard of such goggles.  I usually sport the marks as trophies of my success, mostly due because they seem to be inevitable.

^werd.

you're never gonna be totally rid of them. You can mess with them like i did, and get it so that the straps are loose enough that they don't dig into your eyes, but you'll still have marks around your eyes for a while after getting out of the pool.

Go with Aquasphere.  No more rings around the eye, more like the forehead. : )  Never liked the goggles that are right around the eye socket.

Are you wearing them too tightly? Tighter is not always better.

The issue isn't one brand or style of goggles versus another.  It's the way they fit and how your skin reacts to them.  The first issue is fit.  If they don't fit properly, and you need to crank the strap down tight, then you will get bad rings.  Find goggles that fit you properly, and the only purpose of the strap is to keep them from falling off, not sealing them.  The other issue is that some people have more sensitive skin which makes them more prone to getting marks.

There's not much you can do about the second issue, but find goggles that fit you, and you will find that the rings aren't as bad, and your swims will become much more enjoyable.

That happens to me too.  I did try the Aquasphere Keyenne as well, and the same thing + leaking so I don't think they fit my face right.  Womens specific Speedo Vanquishers work ok as far as leaking, and they don't leave rings when I have the strap as loose as possible with no leaks.  I have heard that to test fit, you should be able to try them on w/o the strap just pushing them on your face and they should have a gentle suction.  Once you find the goggles that provide a good leakproof fit, then keep the strap fairly loose.

Good luck in your search.

I had the rings problem for years because I had to pull them so tight to keep them from leaking. I changed every few months because the strap kept breaking from pulling them so tight. I tried a junior size and "wah la!" they fit perfectly and no rings ever! You might look into that.

I use a face mask instead of goggles for the open water swims and practice some in the pool with it, they just leave one big circle on your face, much better.

The barracudas are amazing I find. They use a softer foam seal around the lenses and they don't leave near the rings that I've found from other goggles.

I'm voting for the "get the right fitting ones" to make your issue better.  I have tinted goggles that I could wear all day (not really tight) and my clear ones start being painful (rings on eyes) in under an hour.

I like the Montebara or Swedish goggles.  I do find that I have a bit of a dent right under my eye near my nose for a little bit after I swim - but not "rings" all the way around.  I find I can wear them really loose and I don't get leakage.

I'll agree with the others about the Aquasphere - which I use in open water.

I have gone through DOZENS of goggles because of eye rings and pain. I recommend Blueseventy element goggles.

Aquasphere for sure. No rings and they stay on better in an IM start.

My goggles can beat up your goggles!

What works for one person may leak or cause terrible rings on someone else.  With goggles it always comes back to the same thing...fit, fit, fit.  There is no brand or style that is universally better than all the others.  Find what works for you through trial and error, then keep a minimum of 2 pairs of that goggle in your bag all the time.

I have vanqishers, kaimens, and some tyrs in my bag, the aquashpere feel the most comfortable to me, but its like looking through a funhouse mirror when looking underwater, I almost ran into the wall thinking I was still a few feet away. I guess in ow that wouldnt be a problem, but it really messes with the flips in the pool.

I also have worn swedes forever, but am thinking I'll likely try the Tyr Socket Rockets next. They are like swedes in that they fit in your eye socket, but they have a thin rubber coating to make them a bit softer on your face.

While they may look the same, they never fit right for me. I have used cheap swedes going on 14 years now. I have tinted and every other color you can imagine, so whether your inside or outside, you have a pair that works for all kinds of lighting.
