Thanks for the update.  Now, to just get over those two hills, one at the start and the other one around mile 7.  See you on May 2.

I was going to sign up for this race out of the blue. Basically for something to do. The race bug in me is itching. According to Active the registration fees are now up to $100!!!! I thought $60 and $70 were a lot for this race. I realize it's close to the race but $100 for a race that will most likely be less than an hour is insane!

Hummmmm, I wonder if I can get the boss to sign off on this?

Could be a super fun hammer-fest.

Exactly what I was thinking. This is the definition of a sprint.

I received an email that the early registration was ending but I didn't know it was going up that much!  This will be my first event and I was surprised at the entry fee for this little race.  I know there is lot to putting one together.  Oh well, I spend more on a one day bass fishing tournament but at least it lasts for 8 hours.  Looking forward to May 2.

Saw this thread after joining the forum today. I signed up for this race a few weeks ago - it will be my first tri after years of "just" running. Sounds like fun (except for the 7:00 am start)!

The 2 mile run will be a breeze for you.  I have not seen the course but have heard from some that there are a few tough hills on the bike.  Others said the hills are not a problem.  All a matter of perspective I guess.

I saw something about a Wednesday evening packet pick up.  Where and when is this going to be?  Thanks!

Since I'm still a n00b, I'm gonna pick up my packet Saturday and go to the transition clinic. I figure it can't hurt. Plus, I don't want to get up Sunday any earlier than I have to.
