Someone who thinks like we (at least sometimes). It is not always about the scale (well in my case it is) but in how we feel, look and if our clothes are looser. Amen Saling. Couldn't have been said better! People that have been here for a while have heard me preach that many times Addict...... I think anyone that keeps trying and changing trying o make themselves better are always winners. It is when you give up that you lose your way. |

I didn't even factor in stress levels - which have been high. I'm down 2 lbs today and expect a decent weigh in next week. Heather - re: food scales. I have a cheap one and the other day I weighed a 5 oz can of tuna on it and it read 3 oz. Uh-oh! Hopefully I'll buy a nice one soon, but for now I've been measuring with tbs, tsp, cups, etc. For meats I estimate that a deck of cards = 4oz. I hate corny lines, but it is true that every moment is a chance to make the "right"/best choice we can with regard to food and training. When I despair, often, I remind myself it's a lifestyle. The month isn't over yet! Musclemomma, you're sooo right. But also remember that sometimes you have to make hte "best BAD" decison with regard to food and training. |

I would just tell you, but there is no fun in that so it will cost you (LOL....).. PM me an I will tell you why AND how to do it over and over THEN I will tell you the cost... Dang, I am good!!!! |

91 | Subject: RE: Team Skinny April Fool's (Apr 2010) Before our Team Skinny Tread drop to the bottom of the page I thought I'd tell you all that I ran 2.4 miles without stopping on Saturday. I was doubly impressed with myself because my running partner has decided to stop running and I really had to convince myself to get out and do it. The first half mile was tough and I wanted to stop, but by 1.5 miles I was totally in the groove. If it hadn't been so hilly I might have kept going. I felt so good when I got home. |

91 | Subject: RE: Team Skinny April Fool's (Apr 2010) Thanks Saling, I think I am like you. I noticed it on the elliptical machine too - the first 15 minutes it takes all my effort to keep going; then after that it is usually the kids needing me that gets me off the thing. I just have to keep reminding myself of that so that I don't give up too early. |

My calculated risk payed off. Last week I noticed my calorie intake had drifted down to about 1400-1500. I started thinking that if that was what I was eating at 200+ pounds what was I going to be able to eat when I was in the 130's? I decided to increase my calorie intake to around 1750-1800 for the week (actually I hit 1900 on average) and that seems to have revved up my engine. It was a little scary and one day I felt like I was losing control. I was afraid I was going to go off the wagon but I kept telling myself I didn't need to be perfect. I logged everything I ate even when I didn't want to admit to it, and I think that was the most important reason I got back on track. The one day I thought I was so "bad" wasn't as bad as I thought when I really looked at the raw numbers in fitday. I've been working on my all or nothing attitude especially when it comes to exercising. My new mantra is something is better than nothing. Goal for May - 194 Boy I can't wait to say goodbye for good to the 200's. |

I really cant explain it. I have been eating well, and working my azz off. This is really a bummer. I dont know if my body is resisting now, as I have begun biking as well - who knows. |

I'll take it. I actually feel lighter and tighter and this week I wore my "skinny suit" for the first time since law school. I can't really complain. My original goal of 146 was unrealistic. Garceau - you lost over three pounds! That is awesome. You're moving in the right direction. Keep it up and don't get discouraged! My goal for next month will be just to get under 150. Em |

I'm up this week but then thought "compared to where I started this month, its been good." Then I checked where I started and I am only down 1 pound. Still, its one pound less than where I started. It probably would have been better if I had stuck to my training. 3/31-202.2 4/07-202.0 4/14-205.2 4/21-199.6 4/28-201.0 |
