On a lighter note...i just rode the bike course--completed in a leisure pace of 23mins. But DAMN the hills!!! The climb on lake wheeler sucked. the climb on avent ferry sucked and the last climb on Centennial sucked... oh and if you want more hills...its a uphill swim exit, and an uphill finish!!! | Regular 108 Garner NC | Subject: RE: Triangle Ortho Sprint- role call What a great race. I knocked 8:36 off my time from last year, and set a PR in both the swim and run. I missed 3rd in my AG by .8 sec, which is far less time than it took me to run back across the TA after I tried to run out the Bike Out portal. Just goes to show that even minor mental mistakes can cost the race. I'm a bit disappointed about missing the podium, but otherwise I'm extremely happy with my effort yesterday. I hope everyone else met their goals as well. Dave |

Also, swim sighting killed me. And, T2 was a cruiser...I need to skip the socks again and just not bother- too much time messing around. Otherwise, I feel good about the race.
