I second that...dont laugh...i hate the water...

On a lighter note...i just rode the bike course--completed in a leisure pace of 23mins. But DAMN the hills!!! The climb on lake wheeler sucked. the climb on avent ferry sucked and the last climb on Centennial sucked...

oh and if you want more hills...its a uphill swim exit, and  an uphill finish!!!

I'm using my race wheels...the road surface wasnt bad at all til avent ferry....but those fast spots were fun!

Have fun everyone and see you tmw!!!!

I wasn't planning on my race wheels, but now I don't know.  Problem is I've never used them.

Scottie:

If you completed the 10.5 miles in 23 minutes that is 24.8 mph!! If that is leisurely I'd hate to see your fast pace!

Hey Doug, Harold, Alan, good to see you guys today!  Sorry I didn't get to catch up with everyone else, but I had to get on to work .

Scottie, I did yell to you as you were leaving on the bike, I was coming in from my run.  I also tried to wave as we were leaving, I was in the black Audi.

Well, hopefully next time.  I haven't seen all the results yet, but I hope everyone reached their goals!

What a great race. I knocked 8:36 off my time from last year, and set a PR in both the swim and run. I missed 3rd in my AG by .8 sec, which is far less time than it took me to run back across the TA after I tried to run out the Bike Out portal. Just goes to show that even minor mental mistakes can cost the race.

I'm a bit disappointed about missing the podium, but otherwise I'm extremely happy with my effort yesterday. I hope everyone else met their goals as well.

I also had a shotty race, performance-wise. I felt way too good- which prolly meant i wasnt exerting enough. Also, swim sighting killed me. And, T2 was a cruiser...I need to skip the socks again and just not bother- too much time messing around.

Otherwise, I feel good about the race.

Great video- I laughed at the swim comments! Man, that run uphill from the swim to T1 looked nasty!
