Subject: RE: Team Hoss' Thread.....

I need to bike 78 minutes and swim 73 minutes to make my goals...but running I need to run 170 minutes. I did an extra run tonight and knocked off 43 minutes to get down to 170. I'm going to try very hard to add more runs...but it will mean a big increase in running time this week compared to my normal.

Ahhh...but I do see what I tend to blow off the most...running which I'm the worst at.

I had changed my flat tire, was dressed to go biking today...headed down to the boat to go to the mainland to ride when it started to rain. Went to plan B and did some fun things with the kids and ran tonight before dinner. It was 65 outside and perfect to run. Found there are two bike trails that are less than 1 mile from where we park our car...one is 13 miles the others is 107 miles...great places to ride and very flat compared to MA.

Guys I need to be seriously motivated to make my run goal for the month...please help keep me on the track.

Keep up the good workouts everyone!!!

Team Dingaling is leading?  Come ON people!  I can't carry all of you.  I've hit my bike and swim goals, and I'll be finishing up my run goals this week.  Let's get moving!!

I will hit mine by the end of day on Saturday. This is going to be a tough week, but I will be damned if I am going to let some complete strangers on my team down!

Ok gang, I'm finishing my goals tomorrow, and then exceeding them over the weekend.  It'll be a hot one in Lafayette tomorrow - when I get off work, I'm riding home, changing, and running to the pool.  I don't know what I'll do for a swim workout yet, but I'll take the long route home.  That'll give me about 3.5 miles.

So, when are the REST of you going to finish your goals?

I hit my goal today with a bike/run brick. I saw the results from the July Challenge in my run today -- I really ran fast for me!

Totals for the duck:

  • Run - Goal 50M - Actual 53.8
  • Bike - Goal 150M - Actual 210 (gotta love commuting...)
  • Swim - Goal 12,000y - Actual 12,000y

That's 100% for everything.

Made my run goal today....100% for all three for the month!!

It was a stretch this week to make my run numbers...but I added an extra 2 runs and added time to make it. I hope it will help me improve my run times in upcoming Tris.

Looking forward to seeing other successes of Hoss members today.

I was just now able to get to a computer and log my final workouts. I made my bike goal and am very close on the swimming. Knee problems and no way to do sub-workouts led me to not really get close at all to my run goal. Sorry guys!

And thanks sooo much Jim for taking over my responsibilities as cap'n! I really appreciate it.

Jim, if we're keeping the team going for August, I recommend dumping the slacker and drafting someone else...
