Our 2nd Miami Man Bike Ride is this Weekend, Sunday Aug.8th...Everybody is welcome...join us...at Larry & Penny T. Park, Shelter#2 (Transition Area) at 7:00 am...puntual...Please...!!!

The bike ride is not only an orientation ride...it's a training ride too...trying to keep an average in between 18 to 20 mph...

Remember to bring your running shoes...we will have a short run after the bike ride...

I know you are a loyal Miami Man participant and I have been as well last few years.   This year actually doing Miami 70.3 as well and wondering if anyone going to ride that course prior.    Sorry for Hijack, a seperate thread may have been equally poor taste

I'm not sure If they are planning to do an Orientation Ride for Ironman Miami...but...the last time I talked with Paul Kvedaras...He told me that He is planning to do one...When??? I don't know...and...How they are planning to do it..??...with the heavy traffic at the US-1...Yikes...!!!

I told him to use the Bus-Way from the South Dade Station inSouth Miami till the U-turn in SW248th St. (Coconut Creek Rd.) in Homestead...but...

If I hear something about it...I will let you know...

I just checked the Bike Course...and...they changed it for complety the original one....now...You guys will ride the Old Cuttle Rd....much better...and the U-turn will be in Eureka Dr...and go to N Kendall Dr...and...Sunset Dr...They are using more residentials roads and part of the Escape to Miami Bike Course...LOL.......Good Luck...!!!

Anyway...

Our 2nd Bike Ride at the Miami Man Bike Course will be this Weekend...A great group bike ride...not only an orientation ride...also...training...trying to keep average in between 18 to 20 mph...

We had a great Group Bike Ride....and...had fun....even...We had strong rains and winds in our way back to the Park...but this time the winds were coming from SSW that helped us to go back...but...by the time of the Race...the winds are usually in opposite direction...coming from NEE...that means...strong headwinds/crosswinds in our way back to Transition....

Our next Group Bike Ride looks like It will be on September 12th (Sunday) due some Races coming...but...

I will let You know exactly in advance...Stay tune...!!!

At this point....I can't tell you....most of the people that I know are doing the 1/2 Iron Distance....but...the International Distance is a very easy Course...You won't get lost....

Oh Yes....but...this one will be the last one for September due Races every Weekend...but...We will start the Rides every Sunday during October...except...Oct.17th due a Race....and...the last one will be the Weekend before the Race Miami Man...
