Subject: Sleeping with compression socks?!
So sometimes, on busy days, I have a morning long run, then work, after that eat, swim and sleep.. Wearing my compressions socks doesn't fit in that day, so would it help me to sleep with my compression socks?
Anyone tried this before?

I sleep with socks and or recovery tights, at some point I'll wake up in the middle of the night and take them off.

I'm not convinced its anything more than a placebo effect, but if my legs are still sore/hurting I'll wear them to bed.  It seems to help.

I used to own skins compression tights. Slept in them 5-6 nights per week.

No difference.

They are a marketing fad and don't really do anything!!

I wear them to bed routinely after runs.  I have a lot of problems with my feet and I'm certain that they help with foot pain and fatigue.  My wife also wears them and she feels they help her recover from shin splints.  It's not a cure-all but it certainly helps.

For recovery purposes, there's plenty of evidence out there that compression socks are helpful.  For wear during exercise, that's another story.

I think the company that makes them makes all the difference in the world. Ive tried a few brands and from my experience, the 2XU's and Craft's werent any better than a pair of pantyhose. On the other hand, my Zoot compression tights make all the difference in the world if I wear them overnight.

x2 on this. What kills me is that I take the socks off in the middle of the night and have no memory of doing it! And, I have to wrestle those things on too! LOL!

I remain a little skeptical.  I have no way to prove to myself it's doing anything, so it's just a feeling.  I hadn't seen any independent studies, but maybe there are some now (I'll fully admit, I have not cared enough to look).  It's such a hard thing to prove too.  That being said, i still have a pair and wear them, the thoery behind them conviced me they were worth trying out.

I just got a couple pairs, one from SL3 and another from Craft.  SL3 are for real, super hard to put on and super compression, I'm on my feet all day so that helps with fatigue.  The Craft are not nearly as tight but do something to relieve the heavy feeling of standing all day.  I guess the deal is helping to pump blood back up the legs to your heart, so sleeping in them while you are horizontal didn't make a lot of sense for me. also the socks will make you want to take them off after a day of work, or the middle of the night like other said.  I did play racquetball in them and totally dug the muscle support provided from all that impact,  I also rode once in them. 50 miles in heat was tough but also liked the support of holding everything together, I spin high, 90-110 rpm's  but too slow in transition to use them in event..

I'll wear compression at night from time to time. If it feels good, do it!
