How early do I need to get downtown before the 7:30 start time?  I'm starting in corral 4 if that matters.

It really depends on where you park. I'm parking a few blocks from the start and I plan to be in the mix by 6:45ish.

Am I in or out?  Idk at this point.  Been training....was feelin ready.  Then i purchased Newtons.  And being the idiot that i can sometimes be, I skipped the entire break-in/transition phase and took them out for a 10 mile run the very first time I ran in them.  My left foot is very much injured now.  And I have noooo one to blame but myself.  I haven't been able to run for a week now. Its slowly feeling better.  Gonna try an easy run tomorrow (in my old Mizunos). I know I can "finish" the Half, but the thought of not achieving my goal time or walking.....UGH!!!  I'm just so bummed right now.

I think I'm out.  I'm just not ready.  I could struggle through it with a walk/run but it would be ugly and probably not worth it.  I'm going to concentrate on the thanksgiving 5-miler instead.

That really sucks! I just did the very same thing with my new shoes a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately for me, I was lucky and had no real issues. Hopefully the foot gets better soon.

Thanks.  I've had it worked on twice by a massage therapist I work with (soooo painful, but SO worth it). Its getting better.  Still hurts but I think I can run on it.  Did I mention I have a few kidney stones too?  LOL, someone does NOt want me to run this Sunday!  Gonna do my damndest to do it tho!

Looks like it should be a perfect morning on Sunday. I really haven't kept my mileage up since Rev3 so it should be an interesting day. I'm hoping for under 1:40, but I might have blown my chance at that. We shall see. Also using this as a gauge for the Las Vegas Full in December, I really need to get my mileage back up in the next few weeks now that I'm only 7 weeks out from that.

I will be in corral 1 in all black with a red Cleveland Tri Club winter hat one. I hate cold ears.

Good luck to all.

Picked up my race packet tonight! Expo was as can be expected. I got lucky and was able to slip in when it was fairly quiet. Since its my first race I will be in coral 4. Hoping to break the 100 minute mark, but a recent cold may run some serious interference. I will be in a national guard uniform with a white bandana! Hope to see some of you on the course and good luck!!!

I'll be in corral 3 wearing a black turtleneck, black shorts, an orange ballcap and a red Fuel Belt.

Best of luck to everyone!

Completely saw no one I knew. What a crowd! What a fun race, too! I really had a great time. I'd said to myself that if I got out of there in 2:45 I'd be lucky. I got out in 2:48 so I still consider it lucky.

How did everyone else do? Looking forward to RRs!

Finished 6 minutes off my goal time.  But I was just happy I was able to do it all.  The injured left foot def slowed me down.  Had a great time. And was especially pleased to find Krispy Kremes at the finish, lol!

Congratulations to all who participated in the race today! I had a good time and despite missing my target time, it was a great first race experience. I finished in 1:47:26, not the 1:40:00 i was hoping for, but with experience i will get better!

Gonna work on the RR in a little while, came in at 1:39:36. I wasn't sure how things were going to go since my training has been pretty non-existent since Rev3, but I was happy with my race.

It was a perfect day and an awesome crowd, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

I think I saw you at mile 12.5. I was just about to catch up to and see if it was you and say hi. But right then it was like you could smell the finish line and just took off. I still had half a marathon to run, so I didn't go with you. I was so close, though. I was reaching out to touch your shoulder when you put on the afterburners.... if it was you.

I came in under 4 hours, which was my really ambitious goal. I'm SUPER happy.
My marathons have been:
2008 = 5:10
2009 = 4:29
2010 = 3:57

I had a good time out there. I said my goal was to finish in under 4:30, but I was running with my brother (his first mary) and I knew my goal would be second to running with him. I ended up finishing in 4:38. Not bad, and 10 minutes faster than my Pittsburgh marathon time earlier this year. It was so nice to see that finish line. When you're out there, you don't think it will ever come. The only person I saw was Brue. Thanks for taking the pics, Brue.

Where were the donuts? I would have crushed some donuts. Congrats to everyone who raced. Is anyone else having trouble walking today? I just laugh everytime I even think about walking up or down steps.

Oh yeah - when I have to go down from the 2nd floor of my building today, I'm taking the elevator!

At home, I've been taking the stairs sideways, two feet on each step.

I am feeling a lot of empathy for my arthritic dog who nearly falls down the stairs each morning when he first wakes up.

If it was me that would have been pretty funny! I am recovering pretty well, all things considered. Great job finishing the whole thing. Next year I plan on running the full
