I remember some of you mentioning you had weight loss goals to hit over training.  How are those coming along?

I guess I have to wait tell I get home tonight to see what wave I"m in.  I can get to the web page but can't open anything.  I guess our cyber guys put some type of block on downloading the link/pdf.

2110--going off at 7:33.  It'll be an early wake up for Comet and I to trudge our way up there, set up, and wait...but sounds like many of you are in the same boat!  Hurry up and wait, I know the motto well!

There was a dustup a year or so ago when WTC said no covering the calves, but I think this was rescined?  Anyone recall or know the rules?  I am planning on calf sleeves

Chris, you should have no problem with this, it was all rescinded.  There are pros out there wearing compression socks that cover the calves (Andy Potts is one I can think of off the top of my head, a few others), so it shouldn't be a concern. I think that was on of those "good idea fairies" that thankfully got put to bed. I'm not one to wear them during the race (after yes) but I think people should have the option if they want to do it.  Anyhow, it shouldn't be any trouble at all from what I saw of WTC this past year.

#2188 M45-49.

I'm running the virus gauntlet right now -- wife and kids are all sick.  I'm feeling a bit fatigued, but nothing more than that so far.  I haven't spent the past several months training just to get sick before the race.  Not going to happen.  Nope.  Won't allow it.

@Destroyer.  Re weight loss.  Looks like I will be racing a bit heavier than my previous attempts, maybe by 2-3 pounds.  Oh well.  More built-in energy reserves for the bike & run I guess. I won't delude myself into thinking it's muscle.  Not on my gut.

Thanks Brittany

@David - which 45-49 wave are you in?

@Doug - I'll be a couple pounds lighter than the last time I did California, but not much....

I got close to racing weight last week, but then I ate my way back to a more rotund form.  Lethargy didn't help.  Made all of the morning workouts so far this week, but the eves have been a no go.  Maybe the Oly this weekend will knock some sense into me?

Not sure how to tell which wave I'll be in.  If they split within the AG by age, I just aged up this year, so I'm on the 45-end of the group.

White.  So if you don't pass me on the swim, then you'll have the pleasure of rolling past me on the bike.
