Wait...Zombies may take over areas like Canada, NYC, and D.C., however they stand NO chance down here in the Dirty South. I bet there would be a 5:1 ratio of armed citizen v/s zombie, here. We have guns and we know how to use them too!!!

I am bringing it back!

I found this page that was kind of cool for different ideas for the zombie apocolypse

I liked a bridge idea the best of the ones we have not already talked about.

My 3 kids are ALL geeked up on how to survive this.  They've been studying up on it (hey, at least they're reading).

I've always wondered if a brisance shot would work (shoot 'em in the teeth) - would that carry enough energy to act like a shotgun to the head?  Not sure how solid a zombie head is...

OK - back to s/b/r... errr.... I mean work.

I dunno.  I think there are a lot of variables around the size of round and angle of entry.  I think you would have to get pretty fancy to make the teeth work for you.  I say aim a little higher and don't forget rule #2.

Renee - 2010-09-27 8:20 PMI'm certain we won't need lawyers. Except Celeste who will pull double duty as magistrate and sweet potato farmer. We do want to preserve a rule of and respect for laws and rights of others. This ain't no Lord of the Flies!

I found a sailing class! Seriously. I'm downloading the American Sailing Association app - apparently, I need to learn to tie knots, for starters (way cool app!).
Thanks Madame President. so, um, let's see, In my first capacity, I'll mostly be telling you to get along. So if for any reason I don't make it, appoint one of the mods. In my second capacity, I recommend we keep the barge somewhere relatively warm.

Just want to point out, Celeste, that you're replying to a post made 28+ months ago. Renee hasn't been around much lately.

I liked a bridge idea the best of the ones we have not already talked about.

What if they shimmied up the suspension cord (the big-a$$ed "wire" spanning the bridge) and then down the vertical support wires?  They're wide enough to walk up, but not sure they're thin enough to shimmy down (might be).

Could there be some sort of "squirrel guard" attached to each that would shunt a dropping zombie off into the bay?

Gonna have to remind the kids of that one…  Thanks!

You know, I did figure that out... about an hour later.

Wrap razor wire around the wires; they will fall into the bay piece by piece.

I don't think they would have the dexterity to climb the cords (hehe) or walk on them. I do think a squirrel guard would be needed for other survivors or scavengers.

As an aside, Zombie Gunship is one of the better apps on an ipad.  Ahem… at least the kids tell me so.  Wink
