I freaked out! I didn't swim prior to this tri... I thought I could just "wing it" and I thought wrong. I swam on my back - a modified back crawl. My wife, who started in a couple of waves later than me caught me and asked, "Are you all right?" NO I WAS NOT... but I finished and I have vowed to improve.

Good job!! That is a tough course.  You had an awesome run pace.  You must have been in the top 75 on the run.  Good job.

Thanks... I have been putting more time in the swim... not to say a ton of time... but I should shave a chunk of time in the Half Ironman up in Boulder next week.

I was happy with my run... I actually came in 51st on the run (not bad considering I was one of the last out of the water)...

Thanks! Have you found any training techniques that have helped to improve your swim. My thing is that I just don't like going to the gym to swim... Running is so simple... throw your shoes on head down the street and it over... Swimming is so much more involved and then there are always the sharks at the pool who make it look easy... intimidating.
