Subject: RE: Waking up children/ waking up as a child... sungirl919 - 2010-10-14 10:38 PM tealeaf - 2010-10-15 10:08 AM I don't remember what age, but I don't ever remember having to be woken up by my parents. I remember when I was little, I was allowed to get up at 6:30, and I remember laying there in the bed watching my clock... 6:28, 6:29.... yay!!
ugh. I think my son got that trait from you!!!! ... and I don't even know you!!! Thanks for nothing!!! Last night we let the kids stay up until about 8:30 because we were putting the finishing touches on some rockets for today's rocket rally in our backyard. So, my wife tells them "No one gets up before 7 tomorrow morning." 7:01 this AM: (footsteps down the stairs ) 7:02: the 4 year old: "Momma, guess what? We were trying to make the clock change to the number we wanted, and I threw my snake (stuffed ) at it and it changed!" Normally they're all (6,4,1 ) up between 6AM and 6:30. On occasion, I have to wake the 6 year old up at 6:20 when it's time to get ready for school. But usually I go up there and find him reading in his bed waiting for me. I did have another surprise this AM. The 1 year old got up at about 5:50, but when I brought him downstairs he was real snuggly. He's NEVER snuggly. So we snuggled on the couch and he went back to sleep until 7:30, woot! |
