Subject: RE: Over extending Freestyle stroke Ok, all Saturday afternoon when I got home, stuck an ice bag into my armpit area and Pec muscle....Felt ok, no real stiffness on Sunday or Monday. Did some basic stretching of the arms and shoulders. No pain. Went to the pool today to just do a shake down swim. Easy 50 yard intervals with rest in between. Work on correct form. After 7th lap, noticed the slight strain feeling coming on. Did a few more easy laps and stopped. Went for a run and putting ice on it later after shower. Only a quarter size of an area that is sore. Should I swim one more time this week before sucking it up on Sunday for the 1500M Olympic Tri? Or give it 4 days of rest? Bizarre injury/problem. Edited by BellinghamSpence 2005-08-02 4:43 PM
