i encountered kathy on the run course twice....thoughtful, positive and upbeat. big win for kathy....congrats and happy birthday again!

Great job everyone.  I went back to the finish line around 13:30 and got to watch a bunch of you finish (Triple By Pat -- I was standing next to your friend but didn't realize she knew you until you finished). 

It was a pretty solid race for me.  Hit my swim and bike marks and missed my 4 hour marathon by 6 minutes.  Pretty sweet to finish in 11:20-ish.

Well done all the new and returning Ironmen yesterday !  What a day !  I'm sorry I didn't see everyone out on the course (I saw Nicole but recognised her too late to give a shout out) - and I'm sure I saw Kathy being inspirational to someone else on the run course.  All of you rock !

Thanks for the advice and the support - it has been quite a journey.  Hope everyone isn't hurting too much this morning.  And whoever arranged for the ocean to be that calm yesterday - thanks - I owe you.

I had a great race and brought it home in 10:57.  Can't sign up for next year as we will are going back to the UK next summer for 2012 will be a 'fallow' year for IMs.  Now 2013 .... who knows !

Question for anyone that stayed at the Condos at the Boardwalk Resort.  Are they nice? How was parking?  Did you get to park in the garage or down the street?

Stayed at Shores of Panama this year and had an awesome unit but I'd be willing to spend a few more dollars to stay right on site.

Congratulations to EVERYONE.  what an awesome day.   I watched most of the day till I couldn't keep my eyes open any more.

Has anybody found a link to 2012 registration yet?

  It's no showing up on Active.com, and there's not a link on the Florida website.

Congrats to all.  We had a blast volunteering and supporting the athletes.  Our condo this year was on the south side of Surf Drive right before mile 1 and we were able to set up a perfect mini tailgate to watch the LSU game and support everyone.

Signed up for 2012 this morning and headed back to New Orleans now.  Can't wait for the 2012 IMFLA thread.
